They've brought in some ... 'crafty' players in Randle and Payton. I'm very curious to see how Gentry uses them. They need shooting, though.
I badly wanted to see Cousins S&Td to WAS for Otto Porter. The Pels had a huge problem at SF all year. Porter would have bought elite 3-point shooting as well as defense to the position albeit at a huge salary. I like Randle though but it's as you said, they need shooting in the worst way. Seth Curry is out here getting a $3M deal. Could have easily fit him into the room exception there.

Don't love the Payton fit but I'm glad he's home. None of us have seen how he can shoot without his crazy hairdo. Maybe he surprises. If the idea is to start him alongside Jrue then I don't like it but he's a solid backup there.
Porter would have been a fantastic addition.
in Ott we trust

This seems like an unnecessary move for the Warriors.

I can imagine the conversation of Cousins showing interest in signing with Golden State and the Warriors reply with "actually, we literally have all of the talent we can use right now--we can't take on any more talented players."

They said there were two fathers, one above, one below. They lied. There was only ever the Devil. When you look up from the bottom, it was just his reflection, laughing back down at you.
-Warriors, probably.

Does anyone think even if Cousins is just 70% of himself post injury that the Warriors aren't gonna walk to another title, they replaced Javale McGee with Boogie fucking Cousins. LOL.

The best we can hope for is for him to start stirring shit in the locker room. He likely won't play for most of the year because of the injury, right? In any case, they don't need him before april/may. Well, they don't need him at all.

Was the market for him so bad that he decided to give a middle finger to the league?

It's a one-year rental obviously, and his health and ability to fit in are up to question, so it isn't a slam dunk that this makes the team better.

Chances are that it does, and it's a great opportunity for Cousins to improve his image, show he's healthy and get a big payday in 2019.

I read that he *might* be ready for training camp, but I find that incredibly optimistic. If they have him in the second half of the season and for the playoffs they'd be happy I think.

I will assume this is the Warriors by the playoffs starting 5

Cousins
Green
Durant
Thompson
Curry

is that the most talented starting 5 in NBA history?

I am not hoping for it to fail. I love that it’s a big middle finger to the Lakers and their fans hopes of ever competing with the Warriors. It basically guarantees health-permitting that the LeBron-Laker marriage ends as a failure, certainly for next year.

I love it. We weren’t going to compete for the next few years anyway, might as well poo on the Lakers fans hopes

I'm don't love it, but I do love that LA / LeBron / Ball can't attract talented guys who seemed a lock to go there.

Until Booker drops 81 on them and Ayton drops 100 in the same game against them.
