I don't like that trade for Portland. I like Harkless and Leonard, especially what they did in this year's playoffs. And I have never been a big Whiteside guy; I think his stats have been a bit inflated and empty and don't like the injury history.
Hassan (character issues aside) is a nice piece while Nurkic is out. If he is locked in, he offers physicallity inside. POR needs as much defense and rebounding as they can get out of their C. And he is expiring, so he can also be used at the deadline if something better comes up for them.

This Knicks off-season is an outright disaster. I dislike almost every player they are bringing in, and they whiffed at all the top tier free agents. I realize they are handing out short contracts to keep some flexibility in a few years, but that is faint praise for a team that gave away its star in the hopes of having room to sign two max FAs.

Yea, I don't like the roster makeup at all and a tough mix of vets who need minutes (on essentially 1 year deals) and young guys who need minutes to develop. Still no long term roster stability playing the 1yr contract game. Also, not a whole lot of shooting or defense.

He's no Horford that's for sure.

The lack of shooting is criminal. Haven't they been watching the past decade of NBA basketball? It's like our team construction of the past few years, but arguably worse.

Wel I don’t think they want to win many games. They’ll be happy with another high pick next year.

Nah I think they're trying to compete and not play the lotto game again. Fans are pretty over the tanking/FA plans at this point. Like us, they want to see progress.

They signed everyone to essentially 1 year deals and a couple 2 year deals. They signed decent players that they aren’t planning to keep. They may not want to be terrible, but they’re still building towards cap space.

They're selling the dream of Giannis in 2021.

Giannis leaving in 2021 is a real possibility. I don’t think he’s go to the Knicks, but Milwaukee has 2 years to do something. I’m really surprised they let Brogdon go. They may regret that.

The ST for D'angelo Russell is right now the move of the off-season. Even if you question the fit or asset the warriors basically turned losing KD for nothingbimto aquiring an asset that multiple teams covet without having the $$ to do it. Kudos to Bob Myers. Great outside the box thinking

I would not have given brogan that $$ with his injury history.

I wonder if they could get off Wall’s contract?

Who says no:
Wizards get: James Johnson, Ryan Anderson, Meyers Leonard, Mo Harkless
Heat get: John Wall and Bradley Beal
Heat still need to offer value probably. Maybe Bam, but this is 60 million in expiring contracts and they get off that Wall deal.
