Kings killing my idea, smh
I'd really love to know why the Suns didn't covet JV.

They had better not be giving up real assets for Patrick Williams.

Let's jump in and overpay.
Lmao…. You know other owners in the league probably hate ishbia and how he’s ruined the trade market with his gross negligence in overpaying.
Luka Doncic was just moved for relative panuts. Same with Fox. Nobody has Ishbia in mind. And inflation came before him.

Toppin is a nice target but in the end he'd represent just a minor/mid upgrade. Too many issues as currently constructed. You need to take care of the main issues (Durant and Beal) before getting to the small stuff. Ultimately, we have no size, athleticism or toughness and, as a result, no defense and no rebounding; also questionable talent at PG, and PF outside Durant (who does not play like a big anyway); plus no backup center, including no stretch big role. Not to mention the TOs from careless playmaking by the stars.

I don't think the main issues are getting resolved right now. Everything will be revisited in the offseason when there's maybe a better market or flexibility for trades. But Beal's here to stay and I don't think KD is getting moved. If we can upgrade the PF depth right now with a guy like Toppin we will and just keep going thru the end of the season.

Something we’re missing, that’s for sure.

I think that’s spot on.

If you are dead set on trading KD, the only acceptable option of these is to get Ware and a pick. Ware is one of best big man prospects right now, anything less is unacceptable.

I’d prefer just to wait until the offseason tho.

Here’s how I heard someone put it…(I think Cap might like this analogy):

“I’m ok with moving deck chairs on the Titanic as long as we also get some life vests.”
Perfect analogy. Life vests don’t really help when the water is below freezing. Only one person who went into the water survived, and a lot of them had life vests.
“Are you crazy?! You think I’m going to go for seven years and try to get there? You enjoy the 2030 draft picks that we have holding? I want to try to see the game today.” — Ish 3/13/25

So he’s going to a team he said he wouldn’t extend at?
My prophecy came true, we f’ed it up, 50 pages of chatter for nothing, always bet on worst case scenario with this team.
