If the Laker's are inclined to move the 2nd pick, I don't think it will take this much to get it. If they are not inclined to do so, we won't get it at all.
I guess they will at least wait for Boston to pick to make sure they do not look completely stupid, right? :/

all this indecision by the teams ahead of us makes pick 4 look better now than it did a few weeks ago
i wouldn't trade much at all to the lakers for the 2 now, unless the Suns are really excited about someone who isn't Ball
(i'm with Bruiser on the Ball criticism)
the Lakers would be delighted to pick 4 and still get Ball, and we can NOT have any part of that!

This draft is so interesting becasue of all the ceazy wayss it could go down.
Unlikely but possible scenario:
#1 Fultz
#2 Jackson: A lot of speculation that the Lakers love him and don't love Ball.
#3 Monk: A lot of folks believe that Monk is the best fit with Simmons and with what Philadelphia needs.
#4 Fox and Ball are both available, but both refused to work out for the Suns.
Who do you take? Someone who refused the workout; or take them and trade them; or do you skip them and just take the guy you want (Isaac or Tatum)?

Lonzo has only spoken to/worked out for Lakers. I'm told he could still speak w/ teams *below* Lakers in lottery. But no plans to talk to Cs

Lonzo should meet w/other teams. Only Lakers have his medicals. If LA takes Josh Jackson, he could slide if teams don't have critical info
I don't see Lonzo getting past us but what do I know?

We all know that all of this is really his father’s fault (call it undeniable insecurities, blatant attention seeking or a genius marketing-campaign) but it still worries me a lot and even more so if he ends up becoming one of our players. Again, I cannot explain why and you can go ahead and call me a pessimist or Debbie Downer but I expect these effects to be a lot less relevant and troublesome if he actually becomes a Laker. Whatever, I do for sure hope I am wrong.
I felt a lot better about Lonzo after seeing the Foot Locker Father's Day spot.

Thank you for mentioning it. I heard about it but it was actually a relief to see. As I said, I hope I am wrong because he seems to be a really good kid.
Thinking about it, it appears however very unlikely to me that the Lakers AND the Sixers will pass on him come Thursday. A very interesting draft this is.

This +1
So much suspense! Incredible.
I know that players skipping workouts with certain teams is usually part of their agent's strategy to somehow raise their value but I still think that we need to work on our culture in order to become a favorable destination (again) and a great program for college players, superstars, free agents, coaches, managers, fans etc. I hate to say it but this also includes us fans and our attitude towards the team. A positive attitude can become infectious and we cannot simply wait for our owner to drop dead. Change can come from all sorts of sources and directions ...
Go Suns!

Concerning Ball, I don't know what's hype and what's reality.
In favor of Lonzo:
I saw this a couple of months ago, and it shows Lonzo in a good light, and makes the ESPN anchors look foolish.
It seems like Lavar and ESPN are generating all the hype about Lonzo to the Lakers. He would love to play in LA, but he'll just be happy to be in the NBA.
Against Lonzo:
What worries me is his refusal to work out for anyone except the Lakers. I would expect him to at least work out for the top 5 teams. Does his dad have the ear of his agent?

I'd love the next great win scorer but I don't know. Is Tatum the next Melo? Bledsoe-Booker-Tatum is a lot of offense, but ton of iso. Current bigs don't complement them well imo.
One stretch PF/C with rim protection is still missing. Isaac has a lot of defensive potential and it is said he has some SF skills, including shooting.
Is Ball the next Kidd? Imagine the fastbreaks. A backcourt of Ball and Booker is a defensive liability but imagine Ball feeding the gazeles when one of our bangers rebounds. Big Sauce and the Z-Bo from Purdue (#32). Also could see people improving if Ball is the floor general, except when Booker (or other, like Warren) go on iso. In this case Bledsoe is gone, or should be.
Tatum vs Isaac if you keep Bledsoe; Ball if you can take an offer for Bledsoe.
Please no more PG awkwardness.

Thank you, Sir!
I have to say, I am feeling increasingly optimistic about our chances in this year's draft because there is no doubt in my mind that there will be a great player left when it's our time to pick. We just have to make sure that we do not only have great players/assets but also form a good team some day ...
It seems like this draft is not only a crucial moment for Ryan McD but also a pivotal one for our entire organisation. I really hope we manage to get it right somehow ...

I'm still torn on what to do if Fultz, Ball and Jackson are gone:
Tatum has a smaller range of outcomes than Isaac (less risk, less reward). Isaac is the opposite (higher bust/2-way star potential). Tatum likely conflicts with Warren. Isaac may conflict with Chriss and/or Bender. I'm not sold on Fox. His weaknesses scare me, but I see the appeal. Drafting him would probably require Bledsoe be shipped out, but then we wont have a ton of leverage in a trade and if we take .50 on the dollar, is it really worth drafting Fox?

I'm always of the belief that you cut your losses and move. If we need to dump Bledsoe and Knight for pennies to give Fox and Booker all the minutes in the backcourt, I'm down. I really don't care about getting value back because the long term potential is huge in my eyes.

These are all great questions and summarize how I'm feeling about the draft as well. It will be very interesting to see how it all unfolds.

Well, its Tatum or Isaac. I think Tatum is the best bet, highest floor and highest ceiling. An NBA team needs 3 stars to compete for a title. I think we potentially have one in Booker. Tatum has the most chance of being an alpha player. I think Isaac's ceiling is Serge Ibaka. Nice player but not one of your three stars. JMO.

Idk if that is necessarily true. Bledsoe still has a ton of value around the league, and taking another high end pg off the board would still produce a bidding war of teams that would love to add a player of Bledsoe's caliber.

Deal talks are far enough along that Fultz could be on his way to Philadelphia for a meeting Saturday, sources say.
Boston would acquire Sixers No. 3 overall pick in 2017 and package to include future first from Sixers, sources say.

I actually wonder what Bledsoe's value is. PG is maybe the deepest and most talented position in the league and there's like another 6 coming out this year. Plus with Bleds' injury history, I don't think teams are exactly lining up for him.

True but originally he didn't seem to be entertaining working out for Sixers or Us so by "slide" and "teams below" I guess they literally mean a couple spots lol
