They're going to go for the first perfect season.
Until Booker drops 81 on them and Ayton drops 100 in the same game against them.

Can the super teams be in their own league please? This is getting ridiculous.
Won't happen because players always think they can win and fines would probably come rolling in, but I think it'd be hilarious if every team just decided to forfeit every game against the warriors... Let them go 82-0, but don't let the warriors play basketball... That team would break up quick

Wait, Bender scores -1? Talk about history.

Well, this wraps it up...was going to put this on another thread...this was the signing of the offseason, imho. Not Lebron in LA...this one...come Jan, this will be an epic team. Fortunately...unfortunately...this to me will end up looking like one of the best lineups anybody has ever fielded. This is absolutely insane.

I don't think Cousins will play well next year, but maybe that's just me? Working his way back from injury and learning how to sacrifice in a big way simultaneously? Going to be easier said than done.
Go Suns!

I agree. It's kind of funny how dumb some people can sound with this stuff. "OMG, the season is over!!" Nothing is a guarantee, and that's especially the case with Cousins next season. Too many people are ignoring his injury and his tendency to be a ball stopper, which is exactly the opposite of the Warriors playing style. It's not going to be easy for them to figure this out, and Cousins will be a distraction if he's healthy-ish but being marginalized in the rotation.

If he comes back healthy in January/February, they'll be rolling heading into the playoffs.

That really, really sucks for him. It was a bad summer to be a FA but looking over his stats I can't see how he isn't worth more than the minimum. He rebounded well. He was never a particularly gifted scorer. Hopefully next year is a player option and he can get himself a decent contract when everyone has money to throw around again.

It was Klutch Sports that told him to turn it down.

It's not a sure thing that Cousins will work well on the Warriors given his injury and the fact that he pouts just as much as he plays on the court. It's why no team offered him a big contract (apparently). Teams that meant to spend their money have pretty much spent it already, so Cousins only had exceptions available (or a sign and trade). Warriors had a bit less to offer than non-tax teams but it makes sense he'd rather go there to prove his worth for the next offseason. And it's not a real risk for the Warriors, if he's trouble they can simply cut him and still win the championship just fine.

I guess with what happened this offseason it's surprisingly logical that this happened. But the end result is still ridiculous.

No, it's purely his injury. Trust me, no matter the perceived attitude concerns, if he were healthy he'd have more than one max offer to choose from.

I have no doubt he would. But now that his production is in question, you don't think his character had anything to do with no team giving him a chance?

Very little. He was a great teammate in New Orleans. I think his injury is the most devastating injury that can befall a basketball player and few teams have the time to max him out while letting him redshirt a year.

It does suck for him, but sometimes greed catches up to you. That contract offer last year was ridiculous; Noel hadn't done anything to remotely justify getting that kind of a deal. He is better than the minimum, but he also can't stay healthy, so that is going to stand in the way of him getting a big payday.
