As a whole I believe the GOP apposes, hispanics, blacks and trans people. FOX seems to scour the US looking for any story involving a hispanic, black or trans person doing something illegal of violent. Then it becomes front page news to show their base that those people are bad, which helps make them feel justified in hating those people I guess.

What makes America great is that we are allowed to be any religion or none here and it’s ok. You can be gay, straight or bi and it’s ok. The media can be left right or center and it’s ok. Sure not everyone is ok with it but, the law says it’s ok and even though some people are trying real hard to change that, it still stands.

When should gender affirming treatments be done if at all? I don’t have kids so I’m not a parent. I personally would like the child to turn 18 before considering anything as important and life changing as hormones or actual sex changing stuff. I think the parents should have the final say, not some politician.

I think the difference between women and men are just some chromosomes and sometimes I believe those chromosomes spit out people that are pre disposed to being gay or bi. My wife said our nephew was going to be gay when he was 7 years old and now he’s 20 something and gay. I think some straight people are fearful of gays and trans. I think they think this is just some new left wing fad that is going to take over and spread to their children. People have been gay, straight and bi throughout history. There is a reason they call it coming out of the closet. Those people have had to hide in the closet out of fear. Now, not as much.

You are burying the lede, with nonsense. It is par for the course that the police tried to hide this information, but it's disturbing that they are attempting to jail the journalist that uncovered it and reported on it.

My extended family that is conservative is definitely opposed to LGBTQ people/policies and has some fairly prejudiced views on minorities.

This seems like it could be very concerning.

I suspect that there will be escalated attempts on Trump here in the future, up to the election and the 70 days when he's President elect. Could be by poisoning, truck bombs, or hacking in and taking control of the car he's in. It's not going to stop, and riots are already being planned if Trump wins, and bombings of a black church could happen and blame it on Trump supporters is on the table to attempt a race war and civil war. It's not Trump or his movement that is doing this.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Democrats try to take out Biden at this point. We've really gone off the deep end as a nation.

As much as I agree with you, I think that many Democrats would indeed secretly like to take out Trump. They're just not saying it aloud (yet).

I don’t disagree…secretly hoping someone takes out Trump is a ways from actually taking out Trump imo…and is a long long ways from bombing a black church to start a race war

I'm not even sure it's the left exactly that wants this, and I'm not indicating that anyone here would do such a thing. I think there are factions that play both sides against each other that are extremely dark and plan and do these things. Neither side should condone or advocate such evil.

An interesting article about a militia group called American Patriots 3%. I worry that these kinds of groups may foment violence during / after the election if things don't go the way they want.

Didn't know what thread to put this in. The Justice Dept has sided with then-Prez Trump in terms of whether the President has the power to quell and suppress protests. I think this is a concerning precedent. If a protest is peaceful and lawful it should not be subject to government attack. (Before any wiseguy pipes up, no, Jan 6 was not peaceful and lawful.)
