Deandre Ayton needs to fire his agent.
Yeah. Who is left that has anywhere near 25-30M in cap space and a need for a center?
It doesn't have to be a team with cap space, it could be a sign-and-trade with any team.
Right, but anyone that calls is going to be put on hold because Jones is talking to ex-teammate Marks and they only have 1 phone line because they like to maximize resources and they wouldn't have anyone else to answer because the remaining 13 people in basketball ops are busy sweeping up the practice court and washing the towels and cleaning the windows.

I like this deal for the Blazers. They'll need him when Dame pushes for a trade to Phoenix. (shout out ShelC.)

Nic Batum staying with the Clippers on a two year deal.
He was on the radar for some people. Scratch him off the list.

Interested to see the numbers on this because it could be a hugely underrated signing.

They really traded a 1st just for Royce…maybe they did it just so they wouldn’t have to take Ayton as it’s now pretty tricky to do that. Gonna need a 3rd team

Maybe they REALLY want all expiring contracts and don't want Ayton. We could technically make it work with like every expiring we have and 3-4 picks.
KD 44.1 (125% of our salary has to at least equal that, so 35.28M)
Jae 10.18 + Shamet 9.6 + CamP 6.0 + CamJ 5.89 + Craig 5.12 = 36.79
Make it happen Jones! lol

OH, just realized Shamet hasn't started his deal yet, so he isn't expiring until next year. We just swap out Dario and we are good.

Then Ayton plays for the QO and becomes an UFA next summer.
I mean, if we're daydreaming...

It would definitely provide that upgraded 4 we needed to add to the current starting lineup.
Can you imagine Paul/Booker/Bridges/Durant/Ayton?

This is the most confusing deal I’ve seen in a while.

Patty Mills back to the Nets.

2 things that worry me - The Celts are in the mix and could offer up a package around Jaylen Brown. And the fact that we're in a holding pattern with KD means we might miss out on potential FA targets.

Well I think that definitely takes Ayton out of the picture for Brooklyn.

I am not sure we planned on signing any FAs anyway.

Ya, really tough to stay under the hard cap now. Would have to basically straight dump Harris or Kyrie into cap space
