We may already have our future PG on the roster, in Ulis. I wish we'd give him the burn necessary to figure that out.

Lonzo is no Nash, Nash was a historically good shooter, Lonzo has a wonky J that is ok in college. We dont need Monk, we have Knight and we hate him, no more combo guards.Split T wrote:Could Lonzo be a 6'6 Nash? Right now he's third on my very early list behind Fultz and Josh Jackson.
Thoughts on Malik Monk? I haven't given him much thought cuz he just screamed 2 guard in a 1's body, but he's been so good this year, that he's worth a look. Still not sure a Monk/Booker backcourt would work though.
Edit: 34 points tonight on 11/16 shooting, 5/7 from 3
It may be wonky, but he's still shooting 43% from 3.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Lonzo is no Nash, Nash was a historically good shooter, Lonzo has a wonky J that is ok in college. I know we have Bender anad Chriss, but TJ Leaf looks like a solid F prospect.
If you're worried about Bledsoe then you'll want to stay as far away as you can from Giles.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:I'd like to see Giles do something before I go throwing him a top 10 nod.
That's before his recent knee scope. In June 2013, Giles suffered a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus in his left knee. Two years later, the 18-year-old partially tore his right ACL shortly after the 2015-16 season tipped off.
I wouldn't draft him right now. Just commenting on what I think he could be. I can envision a scenario where I'd draft Giles top 10. He'd have to prove to be healthy and that his #1 highschool ranking is still valid after all his injuries. If those things prove to be true, he's a legit cornerstone talent that you have to consider.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:I'd like to see Giles do something before I go throwing him a top 10 nod.
justise winslow shot 42% on threes in college.Split T wrote:It may be wonky, but he's still shooting 43% from 3.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Lonzo is no Nash, Nash was a historically good shooter, Lonzo has a wonky J that is ok in college. Good points, ball does shoot a lot more threes than Winslow did. The FT% doesn't look good thoughSDC wrote:justise winslow shot 42% on threes in college.Split T wrote:It may be wonky, but he's still shooting 43% from 3.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Lonzo is no Nash, Nash was a historically good shooter, Lonzo has a wonky J that is ok in college. this video was done 3 months ago by arizona's own mike schmitz. if he's going to be shooting less than 70% at the foul line in the NBA, then he is NOT the best player in this draft class, i predict.Split T wrote:He's still the best player in college right now.
none of them are point guards. the players comparable to him in the nba are elfrid payton and rajon rondo.Split T wrote:Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard, Shaq, Tim Duncan, LeBron James... Just a few players who shot under 70% from the FT line at some point in their careers.
Lol, you can't just use one stat to compare players. Fultz plays nothing like Payton or Rondo. You can disregard Fultz because he's struggled a bit shooting free throws through his first 15 college games if you want, but I'm taking him if he's available.SDC wrote:none of them are point guards. the players comparable to him in the nba are elfrid payton and rajon rondo.Split T wrote:Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard, Shaq, Tim Duncan, LeBron James... By the way, Russell Westbrook shot 54% from the FT line as a freshman.
