Because what else would you do after having him for 2 seasons and never playing him in any NBA or NBADL games?
Meh. I've seen worse players get traded for a second round pick, but I honestly don't care enough. Been there, done that (Reggie Bullock).

McD is so stupid. Denver, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Chicago etc all shopping their players while there's like zero noise about the Suns doing anything.

I'm gonna revolt this team if another freaking deadline passes by with Brandon Knight on the fucking roster.

It has been out there for a month that they are shopping Knight. Also, McDonough's ship doesn't leak. I would be downright shocked if not a single player moves at the deadline.

Ya, Chandler, Tucker, and Knight have all been mentioned in frequent rumors

We've parted ways with plenty of players without bashing them in the media first. Steve Nash, Jason Richardson, Raja Bell, Marcin Gortat, Anthony Tolliver, and Hedo Turkoglu are just a few that come to mind.

If Korver has been traded for a 1st rd pick, why hasn't Knight? Korver netted a 1st rd pick, if the Suns can net at least that for Knight (and they should since Knight has same or more value than 37 yr old Korver) then they should jump on that immediately to get rid of this cancer.

I'm gonna laugh my ass off if Knight suffers some season ending injury and the Suns end up not being able to trade him and then having to go through this same shit again next season.

Procrastinating has never ever worked for anyone in anything ever. I hope it ends up costing Ryan McDonough his damn job.

LeBron James is excited to add Kyle Korver to the Cleveland Cavaliers but he knows the team still has work to do on their roster.

"We still got a couple more things we need to do," James said at Cavs shootaround Friday morning in preparation for their game against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday. "We got to get a point guard."

James talked about Cleveland's need for a point guard earlier in the week.

"Yeah, it's my last time saying it," James said on Friday. "We need a point guard."

The Cavs have Mo Williams and Chris Andersen taking up roster spots.

"I think that's the next step," James said of a point guard addition, "... and, uh, you know, you look at our league, most teams have three point guards. We only have two, with [Kyrie Irving] and our rook in Kay [Felder]. I think just having that secure blanket [is important]. Every NFL team has three quarterbacks. Having that secure blanket in case of a [situation like the Oakland Raiders losing] Derek Carr. We'll see what happens, but we're happy with our team right now."
Wtf McDonough?!! The Suns should have got that 1st rd pick that the Hawks got for Korver plus like Jordan McRae (to replace Jenkins as bench warmer) and a decent prospect like Cedi Osman and Shumpert (who they can use as backup SG as a defensive specialist or ship him off to some contender for more picks or prospects).

I know McDonough's wife just had a baby girl last month, I do wonder if this dude is too preoccupied taking care of his wife and daughter to get rid of human waste, Brandon Knight.

Except for last year when McDonough waited on trading Markieff. Watson came in and praised Markieff, continued to play him, and his value rose enough that they received a lottery pick for him. Let's not be hasty. Also, the Cavs aren't a good spot for Knight. Yes, they want a point guard, but they don't want a $13M one. They want a $5M one because they already have $132M in salaries this year. For reference, the Suns have $85M on the books. The Suns would probably be pretty good if they could add a couple $20M All-Stars to the roster.

Sorry guys, just went on a rant last night cause tired of seeing Knight still on the roster.

When the team's doing bad, and no trades are being made to clear up the logjam either, it just frustrates me a bit.

Just gotta be patient. Winning games this season isn't that important and we can take our time finding the right trade. If the trade deadline passes and knight is still here...that's the time to be upset

It's hard, but I agree with this. At times I get mad because it seems like the only thing the team is doing is losing. Not developing players. Not developing scheme. That isn't fun for a fan.

Game to game can be frustrating, but I'm encouraged by the little improvements. Chriss is still starting, Bender is in the rotation, and Ulis sometimes is in the rotation. Knight and Tucker need to play so we can trade them, just not sure why we play Tucker almost 40 minutes. Knights minutes have been about right. But I agree, the games aren't fun, that's why I'm focusing a lot of my attention on next drafts potential picks. It's easier to stomach this crapfest of a season knowing we'll be adding an exciting piece next year.

Benching Knight is costing us ping pong balls. We're 3-2 since reducing his role.

The fact that McDo is able to keep trade rumors relatively quiet doesn't mean he is stupid or doing a bad job. Maybe he just has a non-leaky staff or is good at maintaining secrecy, which wouldn't be a bad thing. I don't mind the lack of moves. I assume that the right move hasn't presented itself and therefore we are biding our time until it does.

I would guess that Tucker and Knight are both very likely to be moved by the deadline. We'll have to wait and see. McDo will probably wait until he gets an offer he really likes, or wait until the deadline, to make the moves.

+1 to your entire post, but I quoted those particular lines because that is whats keeps me patient, this man can trade and get value at a high level. Certainly have a tendency to overplay his hand, but if it cost some winning THIS year, it's the best year to suffer extra loses due to a delayed roster adjustment.

I feel you. In recent seasons, given our ugly and dumb ball, I've paid attention to college/international scouting, but 16-17 is being historically good league wide. There is a fvckton of fun stuff to watch, even if the Suns are not one of them. Cle-GSW, Harden and Mike D, the Freak, DeRozan, Westbrook, The Process, Davis, Cousins, IT4, Minni's struggles, the Spurs, the decline of a number of legends, etc. And that's before even getting into trading season, which is just starting.

^ Agreed. Part of why I haven't totally tuned out as a Suns fan is that the league itself has been in a really strong state lately. I think overall Adam Silver is doing a great job.
