The real tanking has started! It's a shame Bender got hurt, he could have gotten some valuable playing time these last 30 games or so. Hopefully he gets back before the season ends.

I wouldn't be surprised. With the way we've played him this year, it doesn't feel like we'd be willing to pay him 18 million a year and he's going to get somewhere around that.

I feel the same. And I am not kidding you, Big Sauce might be decent enough to render Len a luxury, assuming Chandler is actually wanted to stay (which by all accounts is true) and if indeed you envision Bender spending time at C.

I'd be disappointed to let Len go (depending on what we got back obviously). I feel like he still could become a very good player in the right situation.

I agree. And I think it's super early to give up on him. If the Suns aren't sure about the guy, maybe give him a shorter deal so that they aren't committed for as long. Promising young centers don't grow on trees.

Problem is Len has control of his contract. He'll sign a 4 year 80 million dollar deal and we'll have to decide whether to match or not.

He would be much more tradeable if they had just picked up his option year.

This is his fourth year. No more option years. The talk this summer was whether we'd negotiate an extension.
