Game Day: Wizards (37-24) @ Suns (21-42), Tues 3/7/17
Re: Game Day: Wizards (37-24) @ Suns (21-42), Tues 3/7/17
Sad I missed the game. Sounded like a fun one, even in the loss. Man, with how awesome these last few games have been, I can't help thinking about how MORE awesome they would have been if Bender had been playing for 25+ mins in each of them.

How does this happen on the Suns home court? Unreal. Trash can refereeing.carey wrote:Wiz Ards shot 53 FTs. That's kind of bullshit.

Especially in the first half, the refs gave the Wiz endless free throws. Chriss had a perfect block they called a foul on. Give this team credit though, they never stop trying.carey wrote:Is the box score right? Bogdanovic 16-16 from the FT line? He's not Kobe Bryant refs...

We know Earl didn't draw this play up because our guy was actually open

Correct, meaning "The jury is still out (of the courtroom, sequestered) while making their decision"...

Give Alex his due, I thought he played pretty well tonight. Blocked 3-4 shots and got some tough rebounds, protected the rim pretty well tonight. The one rebound that he didn't chin and got it stripped was bad, but other than that I didn't see much to be upset about.

Markieff and Gortat a combined 12 pts and 5 rebs between them. They were lucky that Mahinmi played well.

In retrospect I don't miss those two former Suns. Markieff of course thoroughly wore out his welcome, and it was a miracle to get a 1st-round pick for him. Gortat I liked more and is a generally solid player, but he is unspectacular and had already hit his peak. I'm content with the center rotation we have now as opposed to holding on to Marcin.

Poor Hermen. Just trying to make a joke and gets it from three different directions.
Big Sauce putting up big numbers. That's his fourth consecutive double-double off the bench, and fifth in the last six games. For the season, he's averaging 18p/15r per 36.

I will give Hermen props for the "dad joke" attempt. But he gets marked down for execution. He certainly did not stick the landing.

Last year his per 36 numbers were fantastic in his very very limited minutes. We thought he deserved a bigger chance. This season, his per 36 fouls and turnovers are down a lot, his points are way up (because his fg% is way up), and things like rebounding% are only slightly down. He is still playing at a very high level.Cap wrote:Poor Hermen. Just trying to make a joke and gets it from three different directions.

Yea he's been 1 of our best players, but he did not have a good game last night.
