After today's LaVar Ball incident on FS1 I'm kind of glad we didn't get No. 2.

The All-NBA teams were just announced.
1st team: Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Lebron James, Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis
2nd team: Stephen Curry, Isaiah Thomas, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Rudy Gobert
3rd team: John Wall, DeMar DeRozan, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, DeAndre Jordan
Notably, Paul George and Gordon Hayward were not on any of the teams.

1st and 2nd teams are exactly as I would have picked them. I would have replaced Jordan with KAT on the 3rd team but otherwise I agree with every pick.

I want to know who the voters are that voted Lebron and Westbrook second team.

Well I'm guessing it was curry and Durant that were voted in their place. Maybe a bay area reporter

No DeMarcus Cousins is a bit of a surprise. He averaged 27/10/5 and his PER was 25.84. That's no joke.

He also got traded for scraps and didn't really help either of his teams win games. Cousins puts up crazy numbers but he's got to start winning games at some point

Every player on there but one made the playoffs. They're not going to choose 2 guys from the same team that didn't make the playoffs.

Answer honestly, would you ever in a million years trade Boogie straight up for DAJ?

If I'm LAC yes.

Would you trade KAT straight up for boogie? How about Jokic? Cousins puts up numbers, but there are other centers on bad teams that are younger and haven't spent years losing already.

It might take a million years for Boogie to mature.

Hayward instead of Butler (higher seed, West), KAT/Cousins instead of DeAndre.
George not making any team has a big impact on his contract (no designated player exception) and could mean the final nail in the Pacer's coffin, both because the money itself (since other teams will be able to make competitive offers now) and the perceived smallness of Indiana's market.

I feel like the Butler and DAJ picks were because of defensive abilities. Baron Davis was tweeting that Hayward should've gotten it over Gobert because the league is so guard and forward centric these days. I think Gobert definitely deserved it. KAT over DAJ for sure though.

There are 9 players form the West on that list, and we can all think of dudes in the West who probably deserve to be there. Chris Paul for sure, IMHO. I think he's still the best all around PG in the NBA. But the league wasn't going to just put Lebron, IT, and Giannis and give the rest of the spots to west guys. I do think that list is one more piece of evidence that the West is still so much stronger than the east.

Paul probably would have made it over Derozan if he played the whole year.

I'm no so sure, Toronto was good and DeRozan had a great season. 27ppg with no 3pt shot is pretty nuts.

Paul averaged 18/9/5 and shot 48/41/89 on top of playing great defense for a team that finished with the exact same record in a tougher conference.
I also think lowry would have got Derozan's spot if he stayed healthy. Lowry was the leader of that team.

I don't think Hornacek is cut out to be an NBA coach. He just doesn't seem to command the respect of players even though he's a likable guy. I found this in an article on Porzingis about Phil Jackson.

As recently as last week, Hornacek said he reached out to Porzingis via text message but indicated there was no response.

Have Abby text him, he'll respond then, guaranteed.
