Jackson has already crossed Bickley off his Christmas list.

Bickley is trying to undermine the Suns position and direction, imo.

No way you're getting Kyrie for Bledsoe and Dudley with no picks. Unless there's absolutely no market for Kyrie, it's just not happening. Cleveland needs to start planning for life after LeBron, which means young players and picks.

Its not like GM's are blind to a player's deficiencies. And ESPN has been putting up that "Without LeBron, without Kyrie" graphic constantly. That cannot help his trade value. McD just has to keep standing there with his offer (whatever it is). Eventually, he will be the last guy in the room and the Cavs will have to take it.

there is so many things wrong with Bickley's article, i don't know where to begin
but for starters, his most emphasized reason for trading the farm for kyrie is
one big shot in game 7

I've never heard of yardbarker but I agree with him here.

If we can get the Cavs to agree to something like Bledsoe + (Dudley or Chandler) + picks for Kyrie + (bad contract? Shump?), I am fine with that. I am just saying that I'd be willing to include Jackson. If they get Kyrie without giving up Jackson, I will eat crow and admit that we were right to hold out. I don't have much of a feel for Cleveland's new GM or FO in general, so I don't know if they would fall for such a deal. You'd think they would demand more than that for such a talented player who is still under contract for 2 more years. If they get underwhelming deal offers for him, they can just bring him back and patch things up. These things happen.

I'm kinda 50/50 on Kyrie but I think if LeBron wants Bledsoe, the Cavs might cave and take a deal without JJ. They still need a player back in order to compete this season and they may not find a better player or fit than Bledsoe, who also has a relationship with LeBron. Throw in a pick or two and they might not find a better offer.

The great thing about this possible deal is that the intangibles are skewed in our favor in certain ways.

- Their star is at a lowish point of his value, coming off having lost in the Finals and having asked for a trade
- Our guy (Bledsoe) is at a high point of his value, coming off a healthy season where his stats were relatively strong
- Our guy, who has a high injury risk, has had a rare fully healthy season, allaying any potential injury concerns about trading for him
- Our guy happens to be personal friends with Lebron and have the same agent
- Our guy has stats that are not really as good as Kyrie's, but if you reduce the focus enough, you can kind of talk yourself into him as a poor man's replacement for Kyrie at PG.

I'm good with Kyrie if you don't include a top 5 pick, Booker, Jackson, or Bender. The Suns should be able to build a package of Bledsoe, Warren, any of the other vets, and protected picks.

What about bled, Chriss and warren for Irving and frye

It works cap wise

Cavs get a pg who might help Lebron stick around
Plus two young guys who can do things now plus be useful in the future if Lebron bolts

I just can't see the cavs doing it for a bled + vet + pick deal
This would allow them to hedge their bets a bit better
Plus you could sell it to them that it gets him out of the eastern conference and it wasn't a team on his wish list (like the PG okc trade)
You could get them to throw in felder and it still works. Although he would still be buried here
If we want to swap vets like chandler and stumpert then that can still be done
