I heard this in passing, but it was reported that Amin Elhassan said that Sarver will come into the locker room and draw up plays that he thinks will help certain guys get shots and expect them to run them. Did anyone hear this?

I haven't heard that, sounds strange as I know that Sarver is he really not a basketball person. That sounds like some Jerry Jones stuff lol

That can't possibly be right. Sarver wouldn't know the first thing about drawing up plays. That is either mistaken information, or El-Hassan cracking a joke. He does have a lively sense of humor.

“We’re not there yet because those guys aren’t really capable of playing those positions because they don’t know them yet,” Dudley said. “They don’t know the ins and outs of it. At times, we might be able to match-up on a certain possession late-game or end of quarter, but for the most part, our fours know the fours and our threes know the threes so lets put them in their best [position] to succeed.”
Makes some sense. We know Chriss doesn't have the highest bb iq, let's let him focus on learning the 4, once he's got that down we can start trying him at the 5.

We know it isn't true because they haven't actually run a play in the last 2 years. :)

Dudley knows what's going on. He'll be on the bench or in the FO eventually.

Amin Elhassan used to work for the suns under Kerr if I remember correctly, so I wouldn’t dismiss this as not being true so fast. Then again, he seems like a real asshole so maybe he is full of shit.

Which is why I understand if people are skeptical about the story. I’m 50/50 on it because it sounds like some stupid shit Sarver would do but the source is from a disgruntal asshole, so I am skeptical but it would surprise me it was true.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if I heard this right and I agree it was hard to believe. I was a little late to the start of the story, and I was wondering why that hadn't come out earlier.

Phoenix Suns coach Jay Triano holding young team to higher standards

Highlights:
The morning after Marquese Chriss had one of his better games with the Suns, scoring 19 points, collecting six rebounds and blocking three shots in a 117-115 victory over the Sacramento Kings, he had a nice chat with interim coach Jay Triano.

Well, maybe nice isn’t the right word.

“I told him, ‘I got 23 minutes of what I wanted, but I need more,’” Triano said. “How are we going to do it?”

If there’s one trait Triano has shown in his short time as the Suns head coach, it’s a willingness to hold his players accountable, to tell them things they don’t necessarily want to hear but need to hear. Chriss, for example, said after Monday’s shootaround that Triano told him he had been playing lackadaisical and without enough energy.

“He’s pretty blunt and straightforward,” Chriss said. “I think him telling me that made it real. That’s the way the world is. Not everything you hear is positive, but it can benefit you.”
Triano believes in having a close relationship with his players – “I’ve been told that I’m a players’ coach,” he said – but he believes players are motivated not by words but by the thing they hold most dear – playing time.

“Despite how much money they make, they want to play,” Triano said. “I told all of the players, ‘If I don’t see an energy level to my standards, I’m going to get subs in.’”

Triano’s expectation level is so high that Tuesday’s practice was more about what the Suns did wrong in their first victory of the season than what they did right.
Several players Tuesday said they welcomed Triano’s uncompromising coaching style.

“That’s what we need,” guard Devin Booker said. “We need accountability. We have a lot of young guys on the team, so we need to get rid of those bad habits early. We need to know the consequences.”

That's encouraging stuff right there.
