Pretty obvious to me. Very strangely written. "commerical issues"? Plus, the full name username was sus. Pretty much the whole thing was sus to me. And I think the fact that he hasn't posted since bears it out. Plus, the fact that he didn't acknowledge the welcomes.

No. They only care about commercial issues. Winning or losing is no longer important.

What do you think his agenda was?

No idea. Get in quietly and then release your spam later is the usual schtick. They're like spam sleeper agents. Probably also my experience dealing with spam over the years is kicking in. I've seen the pattern often. Full name with a strangely worded response, often to an old message. Followed later by a General new message spam with multiple links. Luckily, Mori figured out how to turn those off recently.

FYI, I updated the site's phpBB software this morning. You may have seen error messages for a few minutes if you tried to access the site during the upgrade.
Good news: The site seems to now be able to correctly embed tweets whose URLs begin with "x.com"! No more manually editing your tweets you paste in to change x -> twitter. (Seems to take effect on new posts only, not retroactive to older posts.) Woo hoo! Example:

NOTE: Sometimes when I update the site, the Tapatalk extension that some folks use to read the site through a mobile app breaks. Can anyone who uses that app here please confirm whether the site still works fine in that app today? Thx.

Wait, do only mods get donuts? Or all of us?
Indy, you haven’t been getting donuts this whole time?
Dragan brings the donuts. Just check the box scores.
Damn, was this ever true.

Does anyone else have to login every time they come back to the site? Even when I click remember me, I am always logged out…it’s not a huge deal, but it’s a little annoying.

Every so often I get logged out, but it hasn't happened to me in a while.

Same for me. Only very occasionally. This is on my MacBook. I don't visit the site much on my iPhone. Oh, but another thing is that I leave the tab open most of the time.

Do folks still use the Tapatalk app to browse the site on their phones? I know some people swear by that app.

I do not. Tried it and didn’t like it. I’m always logged in on my iPhone. And I use a browser at work.

The only weird thing I encounter is that when Mori links to a tweet in a post I can't see it unless I'm viewing it in Edge. It won't show in Chrome, DuckDuckGo or Firefox.

It’s probably something to do with Bluesky…Mori doesn’t link tweets anymore. It works for me because I have the Bluesky app and just takes me there when I click on it.

I see the posts in my Firefox, but I am logged in to BlueSky already in this browser, so maybe that is part of it. I realize that tweets or Blue-skeets (?) are better / worse for different folks, and certainly everybody should free to post links to their preferred platform of choice. For me that's BlueSky, but the tweet embed function should still work.

I'm using Safari on my Mac and I can see the BlueSky tweets but the video can't play on this site. When I click on it, it takes me to the BlueSky post where I can play the video from there. Whereas Twitter links, I can play "in-line".
