Pretty obvious to me. Very strangely written. "commerical issues"? Plus, the full name username was sus. Pretty much the whole thing was sus to me. And I think the fact that he hasn't posted since bears it out. Plus, the fact that he didn't acknowledge the welcomes.

No idea. Get in quietly and then release your spam later is the usual schtick. They're like spam sleeper agents. Probably also my experience dealing with spam over the years is kicking in. I've seen the pattern often. Full name with a strangely worded response, often to an old message. Followed later by a General new message spam with multiple links.
