Doesn't sound like the company line to me.

Dude picked Len, bender, and chriss, who all suck, and trades up for chriss using a whole bunch of stuff no less... then offloads all of that (admittedly all wrapped up in Chriss) for for a 2nd round Pg?

Then trades up for bridges with that first round pick?

And where the hell’s our PG 10 days out. We even had Payton on our roster and could have had him as a fall back plan and he only cost $2m.

And let’s not even get into the dragic / IT fiasco.

He’s a no talent spotting, turn 3 assets into 2, chemistry killing, clown.

Good riddance.

McDonough and Sarver probably had a disagreement regarding the point guard position. I'm sure Sarver wanted Ryan to trade the pick away unprotected and Ryan didn't want to attach him name to it, thus, the firing.
I love how “sure” everyone is about their wild-ass guessing.

And the Hornacek fiasco of making him fire his assistants only to fire him a few weeks later.

What a circus. The timing on it is awful. I just don't understand how anyone can be up for James Jones. His post playing career is just one year as vp for us.

There were quite a few of us that wanted to keep McD only because we knew if he gets canned he will be replaced with someone with zero experience. Now we get to watch a new GM f*** this team up with stupid trades as they try to learn the position.

Bender might have been the straw that broke the camels back.
But to defend Sarver for a moment--If you know he isn't the guy, even after you just gave him an extension, you bite the bullet and make the move. Don't throw good money after bad.
I guess you are right the timing really doesn't matter.

The real problem is who he hires next and what kind of knee jerk moves they make to please him. The upside of this is I really don't care about anyone on the team besides Booker and Ayton. Oh and future first round picks. So they can shuffle the roster all they want as long as they don't f*** with those guys and too many of our future firsts.
What do we have left? Isn't it just our own and that Milwaukee middling pick?

Can we put in for the job? We'll just make a poll for every move and just go with the winner. We'd be better than some of our previous GM's

He would've had a championship I'm sure had he not and he could've sold the team for more than 450 million. I'm sure he regrets it every day.
Yep.

What a fucking shit-show. Why do we put ourselves through this? It all will always come back to the fact that it's unbelievably hard for a franchise to win when their owner is terrible. And Sarver is beyond terrible.

I'm glad Woj blasted Sarver and it looks like Sarver's poolboy, Gambo blasted him too. Good. The truth needs to come out, we are dealing with the worst owner in the NBA and it shows.
What good does it do us? He doesn't sell, we're screwed. Now, nobody good will want to work for him.

If the owner has no confidence that McD can close the deal in free agency next summer, the time to fire him is now. Waiting just runs the risk of not getting someone in time. Actually. October is probably the perfect time to fire a GM. He got his chance to put his team together. You can evaluate and decide if he is cutting it. Not a lot of big moves are made during the year. The worst time to fire a GM is at the end of a season. There are just too many moving parts for a GM in the off-season.

The worst. At least in the NFL and NBA.

Because of a Woj tweet? I think the inner circles of the NBA already know what Sarver's about. It's nice to feel vindicated as a fan at least to know I'm not going crazy.

Yeah, because then Sarver can't call all the shots. He needs a lackey.

I just hope we make a smart trade. If he trades away an unprotected pick, who would be likely the best player Sarver could get in return?
