I’d much rather watch this version of the team play than the trash fire we started the season with. Making progress.

We have to figure out this rebounding issue tout suite.

13 O rebounds for the baddies. How about this: Embiid and Simmons combined for 28 rebounds and the entire Suns team got 31.

I hope Ayotn takes that one note from Embiid tonight: He can choose to go out and get all the rebounds.

Ariza with a realy solid stat line and the best +/- on the team, but somehow I hated every minute he was on the court.
Obviously wrong. Bridges has the best +/-.
The worst are worth noting: Canaan with -11 in 20 minutes, and Crawford with -13 in 16 minutes.
If Bridges isn't in foul trouble, maybe we win this one. That one blocking call comes to mind as a pivotal play.
Yea that was not a good call
I actually don't hate the call. Bridges landed pretty far into Embiid's space. If he's back a shoe length, I think the call goes the other way.

Mikal scored the last 8 Suns points tonight. Clutch.

Ayton had 17 and 9 on 8-11 FG. Looks pretty good until you compare it to his counterpart’s 33 and 17.

They played well enough offensively to win the game, but the rebounding, free throw shooting and excessive fouling did them in.

Another game where the other team has twice as many FT attempts as the Suns. 42 to 24. Such bullshit & it's getting fucking old.

The ratio in rebounds is similar. That’s also getting fucking old.

Seemed like everytime Ayton breathed on Embiid, it was a foul. Pretty tough to play defense when you're in foul trouble early and often. Even my girlfriend commented on how bad the officials were and she doesn't watch much basketball these days.

Best effort of the season by far, we fought tooth and nail but they're the better team. We waste a ton of possessions which you'd expect from a team like ours. Booker had a great game even with some bad shots and turnovers. I don't love PointBooker all game, but he's getting better for stretches. He's really a complete offensive player. Ayton battled inside and I'd say more than held his own. 30 and 15 is pretty much the norm for Embiid. Best part of the night might be Embiid getting stuffed by the rim on the dunk attempt.

Someone else mentioned the need for another big which we really need. Holmes is giving us some good minutes but we need more depth up front.

Part of the FT discrepancy is that Ayton doesn't draw many fouls. He should have had more. Muscala should have been called for back under him on that last slam, but he didn't get it. He also doesn't drive to the basket and have those skills to get people into bad positions where they foul him on shots. Hopefully, that comes soon enough.

Yeah, the Suns could use a competent PF that could hit the boards, play defense inside and stretch the floor. Muscala was pretty good himself tonight.

We’re getting destroyed on the boards again.
That’s what killed us and not good enough defense on the perimeter. You can tell we’re a young team. Gave up too early down the stretch and started jacking 3s. A more veteran team would have hung in it. Also, it just kills me watching Sac and how good Fox is for them. Had we picked him instead, I think we’d be a .500 team this season.

Man, these missed FTs are getting annoying.
Oh, yeah. FTs killed us too. Not only did we shoot a lot less than the 76ers, we missed half of them. We would have won this game shooting 80% from the line.

I really don't know why Jackson didn't get more burn. He was playing within the offense and pressuring the 76ers on defense.
Good point. He played within himself in all his minutes tonight. Progress.

Good effort from the team. This is a loss you can live with. As everyone said rebounds and FT shooting killed us. But the biggest development has come in the turnover department. 25 asissts and 13 turnovers without a competent PG is huge. Progress is evident now.

Agree with all the positive sentiments. Had we played like this in every game so far, we'd probably be at least .500.

Canaan getting 21 minutes to Jackson's 12 was bizarre. He tried to iso Embiid like 3 times and each one was dumber than the one before it. I'm just not sure what he's giving us other than the occasional open 3.

Exactly ! The offensive rebounds hurt tonight. However, the starting lineup was MUCH better and the Suns didn't turn the ball over like crazy. The bad 3rd quarter & offensive rebounds cost them the game.

I know you guys will hate me but, as long as we really don’t have a competent pg and aren’t winning any Championship this year, I think making Booker the pg could be advantageous in the long run. It will be a big challenge and force him to be a better playmaker. When we do get a real pg Booker can go back to being a sg but Bookers increased ball handling and playmaking skills will only make him and the team that much more dangerous.

The team looked very impressive in the first quarter. The very first two plays were great. Booker and Ayton two man game. Booker throws it into Ayton on the block. Ayton throws it back out to Booker who makes a move and draws his man and Embiid as Ayton rolls to the basket and gets a perfect pass from Booker for and easy two. The very next play, the very same play. This time Booker makes his move and Embiid stays home. Booker banks it off the glass for two.

Foul foul foul foul. The game in the second half was tough to watch. So many fouls called. Pretty much every Sun seemed to be in fould trouble. That gets old real fast.

Overall the Suns are improving. A lot less turnovers helps a lot. Bridges is playing very well. Too bad he didn’t get to play in front of his home cheering section very much because of foul trouble. Nobody has beat them at home this year and the end of last year.
