48-29 rebounding advantage for the Clippers.
PF is a greater position of need than PG.
We are so much smaller than the Clippers. They had 3 big guys at all times. We just had Ayton and Holmes; never at the same time. Tough to compete when there are constant mismatches.
We ought to be able to outrun them, but we don't run this year.
It’s hard to run when you’re inbounding the ball each time instead of taking the rebound and running with that.
The clippers missed 46 shots(46%) and we had 17 steals. Would have been plenty of opportunities to run.

There's several plays every game where one of the forwards or guards gets a rebound and goes barreling up the court. Nobody runs with him, so he backs it out and waits for the string of dribble handoffs. Either we are coached not to run, or the guys don't give a shit.

Marjanovic looks like he's a bit trimmer, maybe losing 15-20 lbs to gain more agility.
Not that he's Kareem-like on the court, but he looks more mobile.
He no doubt learned some lessons from his stint with the Spurs and with the Pistons, get beat on by Drummond in practice with Detroit.
As EJ mentioned, he's become a slightly shorter version of Mark Eaton.
He's much more skilled offensively than Eaton, but nowhere near the defensive force Eaton was. Boban obviously knows how to play - if it was a halfcourt league and never had to run the court he'd be MVP!

It's frustrating to watch. Jackson has the mentality and skillset to rebound the ball and push in transition, but no one really runs with him. Holmes and TJ have benefitted from his passes but running doesn't seem to be part of the system.

It seems like I often see Kokoskov imploring his players to run down the court.

Yeah I seem to see that a lot too. So they players just don't listen or care?

I'll have to pay special attention to Igor during fast break opportunities.

I seem to notice it the most when the guy with the ball isn't pushing up the court. That is probably because Igor is in frame of the camera when we get a rebound/steal in front of our bench and the ball handler doesn't run.

Okobo came back to the team ready to prove something and I think he did. It would be a Christmas miracle if he turned into a real starting PG for the team. Then all we would need is 1-2 more bruising rebounding bigs.

Ok finally got through watching the replay.
Really tough game for Ayton as that center duo for Clippers are two guys who highlight his early weaknesses (boxing out and high motor). well the important thing for me is if he's learning from these games so will wait and see.
Okobo's minutes were refreshing scoring 19 but wouldn't it be something if he can settle in at 10-12pts n 4asts which obviously will not blow anybody away but I would be fine with
Everyone knows how I feel bout Josh, not gonna act like I'm not happy that he isn't making me look clueless for thinking he can still contribute. Far from flawless but he's going in the right direction. I think those guys played some great D in the 2nd quarter and to touch back on Ayton, the difference in the pick n roll D and contests at the rim in the 4th with Richaun out was glaring sigh. Harrell was feasting
As for Devin , decent game but some thing I been noticing last couple games is on that dribble hand off with Ayton when the weak side defender cheats to take away the lob he's still throwing it and the skit pass for the corner 3 has been there. Mikal has been hanging his head a couple times when he hasn't gotten the pass

It has got to be tough when you play against someone much bigger than you for the firs time in your basketball life. I am curious how many times Ayton has played against someone that out-weighs him by 40-50 pounds and has a couple inches on him. He actually looked small out there last night. (and he played pretty small too, even when Boban wasn't in the game)

Ayton is honest about the challenge he felt facing Boban. And it sounds like he is reflecting on it and trying to figure out what he could do differently next time. I like his attitude and approach about this stuff.

I get all that but I feel like this is the 3rd time he's said he wasn't ready or wasn't expecting something. It's the NBA. I get he's a rookie and all, but there's a mentality here that's starting to concern me. It's becoming the norm him starting games slow and not looking focused or ready to play. That's on him and/or the coaches. A guy like Amar'e didn't care how big someone was, he was jumping over them or attacking right at them regardless.

Agreed. If he's reflective like this, he is more open to learning how to correct it. I do really enjoy his honesty and humbleness.

But look at his approach/results the first and second times he faced opponents. He really does seem to learn from doing more so that watching tape, or maybe he needs both. But has there been anyone that has shown dominance over him twice? He usually gets the upper hand by the 2nd time he sees a guy.

Only opponents we’ve faced more than once are Memphis, OKC, and SAS.
