It was telling when the commentary was so Laker focused regardless of what we did, they still took time to talk about how not himself Anderson looked etc. Everyone can see it. Liabilty on O & D, sit him and leave him there.LazarusLong wrote: ↑Sun Dec 02, 2018 4:25 pmAnderson needs tro sit and Bender should get any/all of his minutes.
Management needs to see if Bender has any worth whatsoever.
Anderson, on the other hand, seems to be running (?) on empty.

They really are screwed.
They need to take serious care if it is a reoccurring hamstring, no point trying to play through it in any way. It wont help him, us or anything if goes down for even longer than necessary. They will push him back though as we have absolutely no alternative.

What broadcast did you see? Mine was unfortunately the Lakers broadcast which is 95% Lakers focused.England Sun wrote: ↑Sun Dec 02, 2018 4:31 pmIt was telling when the commentary was so Laker focused regardless of what we did, they still took time to talk about how not himself Anderson looked etc. Everyone can see it. EJ has mentioned in past broadcasts that Anderson is falling back on his shot and seems to lack confidence.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

What makes it worse for me is that my daughter had the non privileged to watch the Suns live with me for the first time ever.
She is named in part after the Phoenix Suns (middle name Phoenix) and turns 19 later this month and I wanted her to see at least a fighting, improving team.
She was so complimentary in the first quarter (I had warned her we are struggling) but then as we fell apart I found myself feeling bad for her as she saw the state we are in. Bless her she was really critical of the pro Lakers and LeBron bias but she was so disappointed at how bad we are:-(

It was probably the same one, it was a very Laker bias to the point of every highlight in a series of points for both teams was Laker only, they had a real thing for Kuzma and Ingram all game. They hid the US broadcaster under SKY Sports so you never really got to see who it was.Superbone wrote: ↑Sun Dec 02, 2018 4:35 pmWhat broadcast did you see? What a depressing game. They looked so good for one quarter, then they got crushed. And a Booker injury to boot.
Some tiny positives: Holmes had a great game, and Bender actually had a few good minutes for us in crunch time. And there was that quickly-forgotten first quarter. Other than that it was pretty much a dud of a game.
I've been hoping that this team would start to figure things out as the season went along. But it seems like most of the guys are getting worse every game, not better.

You guys don't do player ratings like we do in the UK but i'll give you mine anyway.
We always do out of 10 with 7 being your usual level of play you'd expect for a good player making a positive impact on your team.
A solid 7 is what you'd want from everyone to stand a real chance of success.
5 being a bang average player who was no real help to the team for their performance. I know your +/- is a similar thing, but it is not subjective.
Booker- 7 before injury.
Bridges- 6
Ayton - 5
Ariza - 5
Jackson- 6
Holmes- 5
Okobo - 4
Anderson -2
Crawford - 4
Daniels- 5
Melton- 5
Bedner- 6
So, your only good player based on today is Booker, some almost there, others absolutely bang average players, other poor to the point of being liabilities.
(but you knew that already;-)

You don’t develop players by just throwing them playing time facing impossible odds because everyone is young and “developing”. What you get is a losing team and players who chuck bad shots and turn it over trying to do too much. The PG problem needs improvement before players develop. Okobo shouldn’t be playing 30 mpg. He needs to come along slowly over the next year.

I like the phrase "bang average."

I like Okobo's presence out there but he doesn't look comfortable. Doesn't look like he's playing his game. Almost looks like he's thinking through how Igor wants him to play, which is hopefully part of the "process". It may take time to build him up but what have we got to lose at this point? There are times he looks really good on defense.
We should try and keep Holmes around. Guys like him float around the league and aren't valued much but I'd love to see him here the next few seasons.

We suck, this is not new, without Booker though, downright unwatchable.
Love, Hurts.

9 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals for Ariza. Made 3 3's too. That's positive.

Bridges finally hit some shots including a nice mid-range pull up. I'd say that was another positive.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote: ↑Sun Dec 02, 2018 4:54 pmWhat a depressing game. They looked so good for one quarter, then they got crushed. And a Booker injury to boot.

Have a feeling Booker is going to be on the shelf for awhile. Talking Stick Resort arena is going to have plenty more empty seats for quite some time. Dark times in the valley.

His value won't be the issue; it's the size of his contract. It's going to be very hard to construct a trade that returns something worthwhile but avoids bringing back substantial money past this season. If Ariza was making $10 million, it would be easier figure to work with.
