My excitement for Jimmer is about the same as the anticipation of an expectant wet fart.
But to be fair, I understand you do get pretty excited about the wetter farts.
It appears I've outed myself as a glutton for wet farts. Well played, sir.

yay.
That's the problem with going after experienced GMs. The good ones don't loose their jobs.

I would be really disappointed if we hire Kevin McHale. There's some, let's say, off-court stuff with him that I do not like.

I am sure it is no different than our owner... and most owners around the league.

I hope whomever we hire works with Igor and gives him a honest chance rather than just hiring "his own guy" or putting together a roster opposite of the style Igor wants to play. A GM deserves to hire their own guy, but we can't keep firing coaches every year. There has to be an understanding that Igor's the coach thru next season at the very least.

What has McHale done as an executive to make anyone think he would be a good hire?

mchale drafted kevin garnett straight out of high school at #5 during the 1995 draft, which started a trend...

He drafted KG. I went through 12 years of him as an exec and didn't see anything that stood out. And he hasn't been in a FO role in a decade.

It was also during McHale's reign that the Timberwolves were punished by the NBA for making a secret deal with free agent forward
Joe Smith to circumvent the league's salary cap rules. Before the 1998–99 season, Smith secretly agreed to sign three, one-year contracts with the Timberwolves for salary amounts that were much less than what any other NBA teams would have reasonably offered him. In return, Smith received a promise that the Timberwolves would give him a multi-year, multimillion-dollar contract before the 2001–02 season.

They were stupid enough to put it in writing. I don’t know what they were thinking.
