I really like this move.
Why?
I like Saric; I think he could be a great fit at the 4 for us. He was coming along nicely in Philly but then struggled in Minnesota. I think we'll get the Philly version.

Agree. Monty helped coach him in Philly.

I’d consider buying a 2nd round pick here and drafting Bol...at the least he can shoot.

Me too. Can't believe he is falling this far.

I'll eat a Robert Sarver foam finger if he ever buys a draft pick.

Besides Bol, Cheatham, Horton-Tucker, Jontay Porter, Isaiah Roby, Admiral Schofield all still available

Schofield is a better prospect than Cameron Johnson.

Yeah. He really is.
Johnson will be 28 at the end of his rookie deal. This is what happens when you replace your scouting department with YouTube.

And what’s sad is that everyone could see this coming, except for Robert Sarver.

It's the guys who use Youtube that think the Johnson pick was way too high.

He wasn't projected anywhere near 11.

It's too high to take a 3rd string player regardless of what you think of his shooting.

It's also his teammate Coby White who couldn't help himself when he learned he was #11.
Here's hoping Johnson pans out for the good of the Suns, but it is undeniable that he was a major reach.

Haha, I get it. I agree it was WAY WAY TOO HIGH. I was just pointing out who was ranking him at that. I had Cam at around 25 or later.

Good thread with some Saric quotes. I like that Monty's familiar with him and vice versa. On paper, he's the perfect fit next to Ayton offensively and should help in general as another ballhandler/threat who can make things easier on Book. I'd expect to see some double high screens with Ayton rolling and Saric popping out.

That video was great from a non-Suns fan point of view. As a Suns fan, I just wanted to curl up in a ball and rock back and forth muttering to myself.

PHX is a walking meme. The Suns are finally part of the illustrious lineage of NBA buffoons.

Interesting. I didn't have that viewpoint watching it at all. White was genuinely happy for his teammate and friend. He showed great respect to his elder teammate and leader.

Yeah, White most definitely wasn't being disrespectful. My point was that he was genuinely shocked. SHOCKED. You shouldn't shock a guy's teammate when you select him in the lottery.
