I don't get the take that Kaminsky isn't a center. There's a few folks in here that think that. Why? He has played center his whole career with a few stints at PF when the roster dictated it.
Just because he’s played center doesn’t mean he’s a center dude.
This guy is not an NBA caliber rotation player, period. He’s running around with even heavier feet than David Johnson (didn’t know that was possible). He just can not keep up with the athleticism in this league.
I really don’t want him playing in any role except 11th-12th man.
I’m growing real impatient with Saric too. He’s awful on defense as well due to his lack of athleticism.
I’d prefer we diminish their roles as soon as we’re healthy and play Bridges/Cam/Diallo more.
I am pretty sure that is the exact role we hired him to play. We are just asking him to do a lot more because our generational center fucked up and our backup center that is playing well above his means is hurt.

I am ok with both those guys. They get hot and cold like most players. They aren’t centers to me. They should only play center when we are intentionally playing small ball. Unfortunately our two real centers are out of the lineup and it’s either them or Diallo. Diallo has done a decent job. I consider him a center. A skinny center but tall and athletic enough to somewhat guard the paint and get some boards.
Being down Ayton, Baynes and Rubio pretty much F’s us. Without them we are last years team basically who was in last place. With them we are a threat. I am not going to get down on the players he have left because they aren’t winning.

Let’s just say he isn’t a great fit at C when your PF is Šarić/CJ.

No Rubio, Baynes or Ayton. Need a capable backup distributing PG in the worst way.
And another shotmaker who can create on his own when need be.
I hear Mike James is available.

He's just not that good. Moving him to PF doesn't make him any better.

He's a pretty good passer. But for a shooter, her hasn't shot well, plus, for being 7' tall, he's not much of a rebounder and his defense is pathetic.

Could conceivably be a decent role-playing C next to a PF who’s more of a scoring threat and can compensate for some of his deficiencies in rebounding and interior D, but we don’t have that kind of PF. On this roster, he’d be better off playing PF next to Ayton or Baynes at C.

Sigh what a rough week.....
Every single point in Laz post is on point and exactly how I feel. I knew Rubio n Baynes were integral to our start but for us to look so lost again just like that is a real bummer.
The same ole Suns chatter drives me crazy and for all those puzzled by Book, count me in. His decisions are amplified in the 4th quarter but for the whole season even in our good games when he's been given the ball at end of quarters his reads been off. He's not using his pull up as much and seems determined to go all the way most of the time which too often has ended up in turnovers

I find it hard to watch, given the poiential of a 'whole' team vs...this.
When is Ayton back?
I hope for God's sake we have Rubio AND Jerome back by that point...missing Rubio AND Ty is bad news...

I don't think Kaminsky deserves all the hate. He's a hot-and-cold scorer and shooter and he isn't a cornerstone of a successful rotation. But we signed him for, what, $2m/year? He was supposed to be a backup PF/C who would get maybe 8-10 minutes a night, and instead we have him starting and playing big minutes. I don't think it's fair to expect him to succeed in this situation. I wish he would have maintained his red-hot start from the first few games, where he seemed like a steal. But there's a reason Charlotte let him go despite their own roster woes; he can't be depended on in the way that we're trying to use him right now.
We just need to get our guys back. We're missing our starting PF/C as well as our starting PG. Any team would struggle in this situation.

$4.757 million this year, $5.005 million next year, the same as Sacramento paid Holmes. Who I would much rather have right now.

I'd be fine with pre-season Frank, don't know where he went..I guess it's a mental thing, or pre-season's just a lot easier.
