I hate the Clips. They're a solid team but I hate them and every time we play them I'm just waiting for one of them to injure one of our guys.

They did a good job early on scheming against the PnR but it was only a matter of time until we made the right adjustments, got the spacing right and kicked it into high gear. If they were crowding DA and disrupting the pass inside, CP could take the J or kick out to Book or Mikal. Having Mikal create offense like he has been should make us impossible to defend in the halfcourt.

Jae's the perfect 5th starter for us. Doesn't need shots, plays his ass off on defense and just knows where to be on both ends. He's the guy who's quiet all game and then comes up with the 2-3 big plays late that help you win - a big 3, a steal/deflection, a rebound in traffic. His shot comes and goes but he's pretty clutch himself in the 4th when we need a 3.

Only drag on the team is Elf. Don't want to pile on, but he's just not in sync with anything we do. When he started for the Knicks, their lineups were always in a deficit and the bench would have to make the comeback. I feel like it's carried over here where we're just trying to minimize any damage when he's out there. We're good enough that he doesn't sink us totally, so we just need to get thru All-Star and hopefully get Payne and Shamet back in the mix with Holiday.

Couldn't clip it or take a screenshot but at the 21:10 mark of the video is Book 100% definitely without question recruiting Covington to Phoenix next year on a minimum deal.

I'll say it. **** Marcus Morris.
I hate Marcus Morris.

But I LOVE a player with so much hate/pettiness towards his former team AND that can turn into a straight bucket getter whenever he plays them. It is so fun to watch (if you are not a Suns fan).

It was fun to cheer against him and see him hit insane shots being draped by his defender. Especially since we won. Who watches an action or suspense film without a villain?

And the villain is always on the losing end at the end of the game like all good movies.

I can't remember the last time the Suns were favorites for the title. Maybe 1995? But I'm going to assume that they'll lose so that OGW doesn't come back and haunt us.

I don't see the Brandon Roy comparison.

And these guys are all of the same mind. "One more before the break."

I do. I think it is a really good comp (that has been talked about a lot).

I don't think Booker is like Brandon Roy. Roy seemed more likely to just hold the ball and go 1-on-5 than Book. Roy would put up these crazy 45-point, 50-point games and just dominate, whereas I think Booker has learned to work in the flow of the game more and involve others. Playing as Point Book for a while, and now playing alongside CP3, have taught him the wisdom of sharing the ball and working within the offense.

I don't know who a great comparison is for Booker. He definitely idolizes Kobe and has a little bit of Kobe in his game. Most of the older players I would want to compare him to were not nearly as good at 3-point shooting, like maybe a Mitch Richmond. When I think back to great shooting guards, most of them are either too aggressive and prone to attack the basket (Dwyane Wade), or too much of 3-point specialists (Ray Allen), or too ball-hoggy and iso-heavy (Joe Johnson, T-Mac, Kobe). Book has a certain calm about his game and a balance that a lot of the others don't have.

Who do you think is a good NBA comparison for Book?

I had no idea Brandon Roy's legs were used to shield children in Compton during a drive-by shooting a few years ago. Both legs were shot up pretty badly along with his lower buttocks. Wow. He's a state (3x) and national championship (1x) high school coach in the Seattle area these days.

I saw this on TNT last night and one of the Twitter folks I think threw up there a more athletic Allan Houston. That's not terrible? But he's like in a tier above Allan Houston for sure. Brandon Roy? Maybe a little I can see it? I like the Mitch Richmond comparison. He moves so well without the ball and gets to his spots that I also like to think Rip Hamilton.

Anyways, the discussion just makes me love Booker even more, because he's definitely unique and I love how he plays the game so much.

Oh, I like that. A rich man's Allan Houston. Houston seemed like he was a bit bigger and longer-armed than Book, but I like the comparison between their styles of play.

Right? I'm not understanding how people don't see it. Obviously it's not a 1-to-1 comparison because that never happens except for when Ty Lue clones Clippers players.

Booker and Roy have the same body control, shot making ability, and athletic explosiveness in my eyes. They're also very similar in playmaking ability. Roy was never elite at setting up his teammates and my biggest gripe with Booker is his passing ability. It's possible Booker transcends Roy in that area as his career progresses, but we all know how abruptly Roy's career was cut short so we won't know how he would've changed his game.

What jumps out to me on these is that even the GSW team's young core is older than this Phx team. I would say that perhaps the GSW 2014-12 team was comparable in ages of their core. I'm not including Paul or Crowder in that.

C'mon you know the comp machine isn't backwards compatible and needs extra programing for crossing skin tones. Now we need a mechanic and an engineer.
