This win almost makes me think they really wanted the set the record on our home court against the Lakers and put a lower priority on winning the previous two games.

It’s almost time for the thread on the playoffs. One thing that worries me is the number of points, rebounds and especially fouls apposing teams seem to be getting in the paint against the Suns to start games.

Great win, and great Lakers loss. Good energy all around. If there's anything small that still worries me, it's that Chris Paul's shot still generally looks terrible. I really hope he can get it right by the playoffs.

This is so delightfully savage. Well done, Pelicans.

Agree on both. Everything was lined up for the Lakers game - home game, franchise record, knock them out of the playoffs.

I am concerned about the defense a bit, as we've had trouble containing dribble drives. Offensive rebounds have been hurting us too - teams feast on the offensive glass especially off long rebounds. We need to reinforce boxing everyone out.

It is hard to pick one thing, but the 1 thing I love about Book most is that he understands our franchise/city.

Although it’s only 7 times and 0-7
I think he is counting pre-season for some reason.
Did we play them 3 times in Preseason?

No we only played them twice. (There is a reason I don't follow that guy)

Haha, I don’t follow him either, but enough people I do follow retweet or like his stuff that a lot of it still shows up

This is great to see from Ayton…his sprint is 100% responsible for this bucket

When Ayton turned to run, both he and AD were in the restricted area. By the time Ayton leaped for the oop, he was in the other restricted area and AD was out past the 3 point line.

AD looked pretty bad last night. Really laboring up and down the floor.

He seemed to get better as the game went on. I wonder how much of that was pain and how much was him being a big baby.

I thought AD looked a bit stiff and sluggish, but he was still pretty scary and formidable overall. You get the sense that if the rest of their team were strong, if they hadn't given away all their shooting and wing depth for Russell Westbrook (lol), if Lebron were playing, etc., that they could still be a scary team. Basically, if they had mostly kept last year's scrappy squad and maybe added 1-2 gentle FA signings. Last year's Lakers plus Melo and maybe Monk or whatever, that's actually a pretty good team. What a failure by their FO.

Oh, I was also forced to watch the sad sack Lakers' announcers last night. Poor schmucks. Thanks Shel for all the Suns' broadcast clips from last night. Nice to hear a little energy.
