plenty of blame to go around tonight - Bridges misses a big free throw at the end of regulation, ayton misses at the end of overtime, booker can't make a shot down the stretch in OT and lee with too many shooting fouls in crunch time.
am i missing anybody?

Please no more Jock Landale. Dude couldn’t make a bunny. This cute experiment is cute, but there’s a reason he’s a nobody.

I love Ayton, don't mean to pile it on, but if he had just gone up with two hands with the intent to harm on that last play, it would've been an and one and not a two free throws to tie situation. All in all this game wasn't too bad, but it does reaffirm my feeling that the Suns will be on the borderline of the 6-8th seed range, playing the play-in game this year.

I think the silver lining for this game is that I wouldn’t have felt much better if we won the game. So … yeah. Downer for sure tho.

Lots of dumb mistakes down the stretch. Honestly I am most worried about CP3. He just looks not right. His stats look decent for the game, but he looked slow, tired, and lost out there at times. And his jumper was dog ugly. I hope he's just playing himself back into shape.

I mean he's one year older. He's breaking down. I don't think there's much to look at here.

WTF with the refs
They really made it an uphill battle for us all game long.

Ayton seems to be running the floor harder. Love to see that too. Cam J needs to be able to stay on the floor tho. Hope he’s alright.
Cam is about to check in after this timeout. He was waiting at the scorers table for like 2 minutes.
Ayton is leaving points off of the board with these quick soft shots.
Ayton had a good game but we would have won if he knew how to be aggressive. If he had just dunked the ball at the end of OT rather than laying it up we would have won.

Dumb foul by Ayton. That’s 4
Maybe he could get the opposing Center into foul trouble if he tried to attack them like they do to him.
Sigh. It’s not going to happen. We have to let it go.

Nurkic out working Ayton.
That was the other thing. Ayton didn’t box out Nurkic. Repeatedly.

It seems pretty clear that this team as constituted has playoff aspirations rather than title aspirations.
Maybe whatever happens with a Crowder trade changes that but that seems more hopeful than realistic.

The 2 consecutive plays where Ayton got the ball in the lane in single coverage 1. Bad pass to Lee in the corner 2. Pass to Booker in the corner. Those stand out to me. Dude should never pass in those situations. He had a good game Stat wise and there are bigger issues but those were 2 plays that had me shaking my head.
Lee has been a nice role player but the fact he's outplaying CamJ is a huge problem

That’s because Ayton isn’t good at reading and reacting. More often than not, he has his mind set on the move he’s going to make and tries it regardless of how the defense has adjusted to his catch.
It’s also not hard to out play Cam Johnson now. Simply playing is basically all that’s required by Lee at this point.

Strange take. He’s a back up Center. You want them to play Biyombo instead?
