Rubio is back. Interesting target for us, I'd think.
I don’t know why Cleveland would move him

What am I missing here? Parsons faked like he wasn't injured and good to go for the Grizzlies?

Sounds like maybe he was trying to leverage the Blazers interest in him against the Grizzlies, but couldn’t because his agent told them he can’t go take a physical for Portland or they’d surely flag him. So he had to then convince Memphis he was all in on them and not that interested in Portland? I don’t know, I’m not sure I fully understood either. Maybe need some more context before and after.

That's not exactly what happened but close enough. The Blazers sent their squad of folks to Parsons in the first hour of FA to try and sign him. He was going to but decided to spurn their offer and sign with the Grizzlies on equal contract terms because he didn't have to take a physical. Everyone already knew his knee was junk by then. Not sure what Memphis was thinking. It was 4/$94M by the way, the max he could sign in 2016.

Hubie is so old he played in the Eastern League..... in 1958-59! Two years before Jerry West, Oscar Robertson and Lenny Wilkens graduated from college. And his coaching career started in 1955-56, a year before Bill Russell joined the Celtics.

Hmm
Would you all be interested in this?
Pacers: John Collins
Hawks: Crowder, Shamet, Theis and 2nd from us and pacers
Suns: Duarte, TJ McConnel, Justin Holiday
Crowder is expiring and I think Theis has team option too so they could get out of 18 mil for this upcoming season and then only have 1 more year of Shamet before being to get out of his deal too.

Yikes on that for Atlanta..I mean there’s some value there, but admitting you screwed up the DeJounte trade. I’d personally trade Trae over DeJounte.
Clarkson and Sexton are kinda the same guy. I do like Vando and you replace a pick, but you just gave up 3 1sts for DeJounte and now you’re getting bench guys and 1 1st for him and sending Collins too.

Would love that for Utah though. DeJounte/Markkanen is a nice combo. Collins is a good buy low guy. None of those are #1 guys, but then maybe you find that guy in the draft or with all the picks.

Theres this tidbit. Seems like DeJounte deal happened the way it did because the owner’s son wanted it lol. Maybe getting rid him is a way to make Trae happy too?

I did some digging and the tweeter isn’t anyone. He’s verified because he pays for verification. He’s just a Jazz fan making up stuff most likely.
