They should award an additional first round pick to the winner of the tourney. Make it the last pick of the lottery.
Even better, give them the ping pong balls of the last pick in the lottery for a chance at an even higher pick.

Ehh, that doesn’t motivate current players. They are doing the one thing that does motivate players…money. Well besides just pride..I think the players would want to win even without money incentive.

What if instead of money, they held players' families for ransom, and then the players had to use their very particular set of skills to win the tournament to get their families back?

Here's a possible negative. What about running up the score on teams? Are teams still going to run out the clock when ahead at the end of the game or are they going to go for more points to stack their point differential. Are we going to have fights because of it?

I think it’ll be viewed differently due to the circumstances…though if we’re up 40 on Portland tomorrow and their bench is in while we still have KD and Book out there with 3 minutes left it might be a bad look haha.
We really should push to win by 15-20 at least though. Maybe ease up a bit late if we’re up 25+

There was already a little skirmish with Embid because of this. I think he took a last second shot that he didn’t need to for the win. But he was thinking point differential.

Not me haha, but New Orleans has tie breaker over Denver so those two would flip in his scenario. Otherwise it’s a good breakdown
That’s a good one…quite better than the espn one. Jazz are getting trounced so we move up. Biggest challenger is whoever out of Minny/Sacramento doesn’t win their group. They play each-other Friday, but not till after our game. We just want a blow-out either way.

The ESPN standings are useless because they list average scoring margin instead of total point margin.
