Multiple times we throw to our bigs in the middle of lane where they could score but they can’t, any normal mid center could attack the basket, maybe get a lay up or a dunk but not our bigs. Our current big man rotation are incapable of getting easy baskets, can’t even punish teams when little guys rotate on them. Nurk can’t get a fuckin lay up and Plumlee too old, his feet and knees can’t move like that anymore. Oso has a decent floater and will attack the rim occasionally but he’s too small and not strong enough yet where we can rely on him on a night to night basis but I’m totally okay with doing that right now until we make a trade for a proper center.

This center rotation is such damn drag on this team.

Who's the last center we had that could consistently score in the paint? Shaq? Gortat?

Ayton during the finals run and mostly the next season too, fantastic in the pelicans series, then became broken after game 1 of the Mavs series. Fuckin quit on the team.

Nothing is saving this team I'm afraid. It'll be another lost season because our max players can't carry a team. No reason to lose last night but here we are. It's true that Beal doesn't play winning basketball. Maybe that's what happens when you're used to winning 30 games every year in Washington. KD can score but he doesn't make anyone better, so he gets his points and people think he's doing his job and let him off the hook. But really, he's Melo who was just fortunate enough to jump on with the Ws and win a couple rings. He's not a leader or a winner on his own. Nurk is low hanging fruit for the fans but even upgrading him won't make a difference if Beal and KD aren't playing hard. If Beal says he needs a guy like JO to get him up and bring some energy, there's a major problem there. From what I can tell, Dunn is the only one playing with the right sense of urgency in the starting lineup.

I almost want them to lose now, just so that we get on with it and so that the players and front office accept that this won't work and begin working on whatever's next. If they get too many wins or moments of hope, they'll stand pat until it is too late.

I think people hoping Cooper Flagg is a franchise savior will be disappointed. He’s good of course, but he’s not Luka. I think there’s a chance he’s just a super role player and not a star…like an Aaron Gordon.

I think people hoping Cooper Flagg is a franchise savior will be disappointed. He’s good of course, but he’s not Luka. I think there’s a chance he’s just a super role player and not a star…like an Aaron Gordon.

I think he's got more offensive ability than Gordon and his defensive timing is fantastic, it's just Duke doesn't really utilize players effectively. With that said, I still might take the kid from BYU first overall because I love players that make others better.
