Can Jimmy really save this team?
That’s not question that should be asked. Does he make this team better? Yes. Without question. That is what matters at the end of the day. We need to get better. This “save the team” stuff is just silly talk to me. It’s about getting better. He makes us better, much better actually.

We beat ourselves. It’s just so fuckin annoying.

Go beat the fuckin Warriors and the blazers twice and show a pulse against the Thunder. Go into the deadline with some damn momentum.

We showed a pulse in the last minute or so but our team just completely fell apart once Finch got ejected. Wolves were killing us from 3 down the stretch. It’s so frustrating to lose a game like this against a team that is just barely ahead of us in the standings.

Is a team really going to pay Tyus Jones what he’s looking for in free agency? I’m not so sure. He’s far too inconsistent and unreliable at times. No team should ever bother playing him in the 4th quarter of a close game unless they’re blatantly tanking.

Exactly. Tyus bet on himself and he losing that bet. That’s why I ain’t crying if trade him for a 2nd or we move him to the bench. We need to do what’s best for the team. Tyus is a back up pg and this season he’s proving it.

It generally feels like this team is starting to turn a corner but idk, I’m not sure if I’m ready to believe just yet….

Am I ready to be hurt?
You didn't have to wait long to find out. We played decently for almost 3 quarters and then totally fell apart. Wolves have their number.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I don’t think Tyus will get long term money…that’s probably what he was after…but I could see a team like the Nets offering 2/25 or something. Get him on a short, relatively cheap deal. Let him bring some leadership and poise to a young team that doesn’t want to be good. Don’t think anyone is giving him more than 2 years though.

This team is soft and lazy and shitty. They can't hang with big teams, strong teams, young teams, athletic teams, teams with great shooters, teams with great bigs, teams with great wings.

Our defense sucks. We leave the other team's best 3pt shooters open over and over. We let teams waltz to the basket. If they happen to miss we have soft ass rebounders and give them the ball back for another attempt.

Our offense sucks. We force everything through point Book and KD who can't run an offense and constantly turn the ball over. We make everything seem hard despite having great scorers.

I'm just so beyond sick of this shitty ass fucking team.

Agree this team is too soft, mentally and physically. Once the turnovers and missed shots happen the team folds. No mental fortitude to play hard thru bad stretches and work for good shots. The body language is telling. We don't play good enough defense, it feels like out leads are because the other team is cold, not because of our defense. We've padded our record against mostly bad teams lately and gotten away with letting them back into games. Won't happen against the better teams.

Bud doesn't have a lot of options to go bigger but I might've tried Oso at the 4 in a bigger lineup just to see if he could slow down Randle. Probably wouldn't have done much because we're generally not a physical team. Trade Nurk and a 1st for Beef Stew. He might be crazy but at least he hits first.

Yeah, I agree with this especially the part about padding our record. It seems Suns media tried to over hype the significance of our 8-2 run which was largely against teams near the bottom of their respective conferences. Wins against the likes of Washington, Charlotte, New Jersey, Utah and Detroit don't impress me when this team was pegged to go on a deep playoff run at the start of the year. It's all just fools gold and no one player is going to come in and make a big enough difference to this team to salvage the season.

I agree with Wally's point that it's about small improvements at this point and perhaps a guy like Butler provides that. Either way we need to overhaul the roster in the summer if we want to be a contender again anytime soon.

Beef Stew id be cool with if it's for Nurk and not Allen. I'm not giving a first up for beef stew though

This team is absolutely way too soft.

And I'm so over trying to match Royce up with 4's. He is not Jae. He is small, not savvy and is consistently lost on D

Sorry for my angry ass post last night. This team just has me down in the dumps. I wanted so much more. Or, if we were going to be this mediocre, I just wanted to mostly keep our old home-grown team and our future intact. It's hard knowing that we are not only "meh" now, but likely to be bad for many years to come. That is really depressing to me as a fan. I don't even mind being bad and rebuilding if we just have picks and assets and a future, but we may not even have that.

There is nothing wrong with that angry ass post, and there was no need to apologize for it.

I still don't understand why Bud sees that when the team isn't playing well with Plumlee on the floor that he just continues to allow the team to spiral. He needs to take Plumlee out and try something different, possibly Oso?

It's perfectly fine to be frustrated with this team. They've been frustrating for a year and a half. They tease with flashes of solid basketball, they mostly beat the bad teams but then they seemingly give up when games get tough. There's enough talent on this team to win 50 games but they don't play hard or smart for 48 minutes.
