Knicks just went up 3-1 on a pretty controversial finish. THJ looked to clearly be fouled on the last shot, but refs swallow their whistle

Lakers-Wolves was awesome. Wolves pull it out in the end. Not sure why they let LA get up a game tying 3 point attempt, but they survived it.

Wolves up 3-1 and I LOVE IT! Go Timberwolves! I think they'll do well this postseason. And I love seeing the overrated Lebron/Luka Lakers get stomped in the first round.

It’s a double win. Lakers lose and Minnesota will hopefully not try to trade Randle for KD.

Well Giannis is getting traded this summer and throwing a wrench in our KD plans

Bucks need a replacement star scoring guard. For the right price, we consider letting them have Bradley Beal.

Would it make sense to take on Dame for 2 years, knowing he won't play next year? He and Beal have similar deals with POs in 26-27. It might buy the Bucks another year with Giannis. We'd be paying Dame to rehab but generally, I think he'd be a better pairing with Book even tho he'd be 36 the year he comes back. And it might be an easier pill to swallow than just giving Beal money to go away.

I think you can do it if Milwaukee gives us something. I wouldn’t count on Dame as a 36 year old post Achilles rupture. He’s probably done as a difference maker.

Having Dame on the bench recovering from surgery all season would be less of a detriment to team chemistry than Beal playing sporadically between injuries and being a malcontent bum when he's on the floor.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Maybe Grant Hill can get to work with him and show him how to reinvent his game around his body. Really too bad about Dame.

Honestly Beal and Giannis would work really well together, however I don't see Beal wanting to go and uproot for Milwaukee.

I still think it’s more likely Giannis gets moved. Milwaukee won’t want Beal in that situation

Am I crazy for thinking that I would rather just have Beal than torn-Achilles Dame? Dame won't play for 1-2 years anyway. Beal for all his faults is at least a guy who could play most of both seasons if you actually kept him. I'm surprised that the hatred for Beal has grown to the point where you'd rather have a guy who literally can't put weight on his leg for 1-2 years over Beal.

The scenario I keep thinking of is, what if God forbid Booker gets hurt and needs to miss 20-30 games or more? Beal could slide in as starting SG. It's a downgrade, sure, but it is at least a similar type of player who could give us scoring. If we're actually keeping the guy on the roster, I'd rather have that than busted-wheel Dame who won't even play.

There will be more than one team willing to give up assets for a go-to scorer like KD. Even if, say, Houston decides to give their package for Giannis rather than dealing with us, we can still talk to teams like OKC, NYK, MIN, DAL, whomever else will give us the best offer.

Yes. Beal is a negative on this team and you can't play the "what-if" game with Book. And it's not like Beal is some ironman playing 80 games a season where you can rely on him if Book gets injured. Besides, there doesn't seem to be any scenario where he's staying. So I'd rather see Beal gone and Dame rehabbing. It's not about hatred, it's about fit and trying to get something back of value. Lillard's game was never predicated on athleticism so he might come back fine and still be the shooter/scorer he was. And if he's not, he's gone and you clear 57mil off the cap. Unless it's more beneficial cap-wise to give Beal a check to go away, I'd explore this.

Not at all. Beal at least has a chance to be a net positive. With a new coach and no KD to defer to, Beal might play better and be useful.

You have to look at the value for Milwaukee. If they are keeping Giannis, they can’t afford to wait for Lillard. They don’t really have assets to go get someone of value, but Beal would be way more useful to them than Dame…so you can talk about how you’d rather have Dame rehabbing than having Beal on our bench, but Milwaukee is getting all the basketball benefit in the deal. They have to compensate us. Dame is too old to expect anything at all from him when he comes back.

I think a more interesting wrinkle is Milwaukee will likely get insurance to cover a lot of the costs of Dame’s salary and also get a disabled player exception…I don’t think we get that if we trade for an already hurt player. So Beal would have to be more valuable to them than whoever they can add via the exception.

He's averaged 50 games a season over the last 4 years.
