And if you don't hoist it, well, they have a pill for that now.

Not really. Dragic got less than freaking Jeremy Lin. I don't remember any significant pushback on Dragic's deal.

The concern with Nash wasn't the amount of money, it was the length of the deal. And the concern was due to his age/health.

Yes really. It was mostly the national media.

Not to mention it'd be next impossible to "best" Blanks as the worst GM.

Keep Warren, and I'm okay with this. Expiring contract AND getting rid of the Bledsoe albatross? okay by me!

If we fired McD, teams would be happy to snatch him up. Meanwhile, Blanks will probably never work as a GM ever again in his life.

Phoenix 219 you are living in the past. Expiring contracts don't hold the same value that they once did. Also you want to dump those assets for the corpse of amare? Thank goodness you don't work in the league.

What does this have to do with living in the past? I don't consider Bledsoe an asset. I don't want him on our team. I think it would be addition by subtraction (especially for Dragic) PLUS freeing up a ton of cap space for next year. Tolliver is garbage. This has nothing to do with the corpse of Amare; I have always supported that trade, and think we may have even waited too long on that one. I'd rather have one expiring contract (not to trade for an asset, but to allow to time out and expire!) then be stuck with bledsoe garbage for 5 years/70 million! Thats why I said take Warren out and I'm down - trade a bunch of garbage for the money to sign future assets next year! That money needed to be spent on a big man, not on fucking Eric "potential" Bledsoe.

Bledsoe's contract, after the cap increases, will absolutely be an asset. Be patient.

of the three point guards the suns currently have, bledsoe is the most untradable (because of it's length, the pricetag, and bledsoe's injury history). even if mcdo wanted to trade bledsoe, no team would take him until he's in his 4th or 5th yr of his deal.

I'm not saying that the amount won't seem more affordable when the cap goes up - for a player of his *assumed quality* - I just don't believe he IS that quality, or that his on court production will ever meet the demands of that contract, regardless of where the cap sits at any given time. Plus, I'm not convinced that high production from him will translate to TEAM success - Kobe has proven that you can put up a bunch of assist #s while still being a detriment to your team....

Why sacrifice two seasons just to maybe cash in Bledsoe?! That makes absolutely no sense.
