NBA Free Agency
Re: NBA Free Agency
Even if this doesn't work, that is a very bold move. Very Colangelo-like.carey wrote:https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/status/616325085343846401

WTF. That is a lot of scratch for an already 32-year-old center. No idea how we can sign LMA with that deal on the books w/ our current cap situation.
Go Suns!
Og Snus!

I think we are playing for a S&T so LMA feels like he is giving something back to Portland.carey wrote:https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/status/616326343286984704 WTF. Re: NBA Free Agency
If that's the case who do you ship off? Morrii are the obvious choice. Do you include Bledsoe or Len?
Re: NBA Free Agency
There's just no way Aldridge would come here. Sign-and-trade? You have to get Portland to agree to it, and why would they agree to help us? Sure, so they get some talent back, but what do we have that they'd want? The Morrii? Tucker? Bledsoe? I don't see it. He could just walk right in to San Antonio and contend. Why come here on a complicated possible S&T?

I like it. McD is showing some balls.Indy wrote:Even if this doesn't work, that is a very bold move. Very Colangelo-like.carey wrote:https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/status/616325085343846401
Re: NBA Free Agency
Not saying it will work, just that it is a good strategy. LMA doesn't want to screw over Portland (especially the fans), and Portland would have to agree to get anything for him. They don't want him to just walk.Mori Chu wrote:There's just no way Aldridge would come here. Sign-and-trade? You have to get Portland to agree to it, and why would they agree to help us? Re: NBA Free Agency
Think back to the Barkley deal. Yeah, it wasn't the same thing, but end the end there were a bunch of OK guys for a superstar. Houston had enough parts to make it happen. We do too.Mori Chu wrote:There's just no way Aldridge would come here. Sign-and-trade? You have to get Portland to agree to it, and why would they agree to help us? That all said, I still feel like there is no way LMA goes with us over SA.

Re: NBA Free Agency
LMA, Chandler and Len is a pretty fucking crazy front court line-up!
*which means it won't happen.

Re: NBA Free Agency
Morris twins plus Tucker should get the salaries close enough. Bledsoe-Knight-warren-aldridge-chandler is pretty dang good
Re: NBA Free Agency
Also lofty expectations to live up to in SA. Playing in TimDs shadow, expected to contend from Day 1. He can fly under the radar here, be the man and take the next step as a player. Maybe even lead Phx to its first title. Imagine that...
Re: NBA Free Agency
That Tyson Chandler contract though..fkkkk
Re: NBA Free Agency
Other benefit. If it is a S&T, he can make more money (a lot more) than SA can offer.ShelC wrote:Also lofty expectations to live up to in SA. Playing in TimDs shadow, expected to contend from Day 1. Either way, we have 2 legitimate 7 footers. Wow.
