Trade Markeiff and PJ to the Kings, get DLee from the Warriors and give the Warriors a TE.
DLee is a double double guy who's in a contract year so he's motivated to play. Can pick and pop, very high bball IQ and his defense will be covered by Chandler behind him. Plus we can wipe his 15mil off the books next summer.
david lee is trash at this point, right? keef's the only real asset the suns have.

We should have figured out how to integrate him better and kept him here. Can you imagine a Wright/Chandler frontcourt on defense? Eep! We could have done a limited really big lineup of something like Bledsoe/Tucker/Markieff/Wright/Chandler and just destroyed every team on the glass.
but he was asking for 8mil/yr from the sun. he wasnt giving this team any discount at all.

Do we know that for sure? Where was that reported?

Wright is from Tennessee, why do we figure he would ask for less from the Suns than from the team from his home state?

LOL. Right, that's the definition of a home town discount.

Don't trade Keif for David Lee that is absolutely ridiculous !!!!!!! Thats like Hedo LEVEL stupid . Yes Keiff has an attitude problem but LEE IS ALMOST DONE and old and won't be around in a season. K can get better and maybe more mature , maybe not - but the gamble makes no sense just to dump him.
Wait out if Keiff continues to be a dick then trade him later this season when he has more value. He was arguably our best player in many games and he has gotten better each year. To a degree McD and the FO played into this with the co-signing of him with Marcus . Hornacek sucks as a leader and he doesn't seem to be highly respected yet -- so maybe TC can help there and add some leadership. I can't believe you guys are even considering this.

No one is saying trade Markieff for David Lee. I think most want to move Tucker & McNeal. It's just viable under the cap.

You trade Markieff for David Lee 1) to take out the trash, 2) because Lee only has one year left on his deal, 3) to get an asset from the Warriors like Kevin Looney.

We need to give him another half a season at least to see . He has gotten better each year, was our most clutch player, and despite his off court BS - we have/will want a player who is aggressive on the court. The main issue IMO is that we have a coach who doesn't handle players well so there is 0 leadership on that front. I'm pretty certain that is reason #1 for bringing in TC . So to dump a young , improving player for a washed up rental seems pretty stupid imo.
If you want to trade him because he is a bad locker room guy don't do it now - do it mid way through the season or next season if we still are as shitty as last season. David Lee , why would we want him?? Whats the point of having him here? If we aren't growing young talent we should be tanking
I think a player like TC who is here will help grow talent and fill the leadership void that Hornacek has until he gets replaced after next season [ possibly ] . So that makes sense, but David Lee is not a leader, and will have 0 investment in this team and it's young talent.
He will just want to get minutes to get paid next season and leave for a contender WHY ON EARTH WOULD WE WANT TO FACILITATE THAT ??

I also think Tucker has more value and will have more value during the season. If they can get rid of him for something that makes sense , cool , but a lot of playoff teams will want him and be willing to give something up to get him when the race gets tight

The Robot speaks words of wisdom. Kieff is an asset, and potentially a very, very valuable asset if he can prove that he is mature. Why sell low on him? Looney is not enough of a sweetener for me.

Now I definitely do not want KS. Look what his did to our precious savior (yes I am a prisoner of the monent called the Internet )!
Wow. Not only fouled him, but threw him to the floor backwards. Very dangerous play.

Yep. Pulled him off the rim while he was hanging from it. Plus, Fratello sure isn't very observant, is he? I saw it in the very first replay. Fratello never did after numerous replays.
