Just read that the shooter was investigated last year for making threats on discord that he would commit a mass shooting. They couldn’t substantiate it, but if I’ve got my timeline right his dad purchased him a gun after this happened. Dad was arrested today and charged as well. Seems warranted to me.

Yep. Kid seems to come from really shitty stock, whole family is a mess. Still avoidable if they got rid of guns.

What is the psychology behind “I heard Haitians are eating cats, so I’m going to call in a bomb threat to a hospital”? Not like it was a Haitian hospital. This was an attack on the community that is supposedly being victimized by Haitians.

This is the radicalization of the modern GOP. In this case I think what's happening is that it's starting to sink in that they are likely to lose this election, so they're preparing to respond violently. I just really hope that there isn't violence on election day, nor shenanigans like calling in bomb threats on Dem-leaning polling places.

Homicides are down double digits overall but, homicides committed by children are up 65%.
