It’s the money situation…Brooklyn is way over the hard cap and can’t acquire a player via sign and trade unless they dump Kyrie into cap space. KD isn’t of the table, but Ayton has to go to a 3rd team if he’s apart of the deal

The Suns were never going to meet that kind of deal for McGee.

Some strange hand wringing on Suns Twitter over it and I don't really get the reason for it.

And Bridges and Johnson would presumably have to go to Brooklyn. We’d be left with Paul, Booker, Durant, and almost nothing else.

If we can keep Ayton I might be willing to give up Bridges and Johnson but it still kind of guts our future.

Agreed, and I am confused about the "enough left over" comments. The TPMLE is like 7.2M. How does 3 years/20.1M leave any left over to sign someone?

Javale will get about 6.7 million a year.
