I'm of the opinion if you can't make it on the Magic, you can't make it in the league. Bol Bol probably needs to go overseas and work on his game. HIm sitting the bench on an NBA roster hasn't really done much for him. Rooting for the kid to succeed but need to try something else.

He actually was fine as a starter earlier in the season. Then he got sent to the bench and his minutes went down, and he stunk for the rest of the year.
Also, people have to realize that with these rebuilding teams, they usually are adding multiple draft picks every year. So teams like the Magic and Thunder end up cutting guys who have talent just because they don't have room for the incoming draft picks.

Also not really sure what the Rockets are doing. I kind understand the FVV move because he's as big of a star as they can hope to lure right in in FA signings but then then 20 mil per for Dillon Brooks? Jock 8 mil per and now Jeff Green the same? Just throwing stupid amounts of money at players just for the sake of doing it. Seems like a terrible roster construction to me.

I think roster construction is fine, but the money is terrible. Jock and Brooks bring toughness/nastiness that Udoka is going to want from his team. Green is only on a one-year deal and brings some desperately needed maturity and experience to the lockerroom.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Rockets in the play-in games.

The return of super Dario?
Why did I think the Warriors had picked him up already?

Dunno if it's been said already (I'm way behind on lurking), but I'm happy for Cam Johnson for the deal he got. More $ than Kuzma, more than Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura put together. I'm rooting for him to stay healthy and earn that check.
Right now, he isn't better than Kuzma or Reaves.
You're absolutely right. It's a lot of cash for 16 points 5 rebounds and a lot of missed games. Considering the advertising opportunities he probably has in New York, he has hit the jackpot. Objectively, that's a bad contract, but I'll always root for the twins. Good for him.

The Magic in particular are also very big-man-heavy, so it makes sense that a talented big like Bol might nevertheless fall out of the rotation. But having said that, I'm not a huge fan of bringing Bol Bol here due to low bbiq and chuckerishness.

I think you're right, Mori...it's hard to see the forest through the trees when one's eyes are so close to a backside with lips stitched to same body part.
I think Bol should get a look...

Rondo is 37 years old and didn't play in the league last season. He was good in his day but I think he's pretty washed at this point.

I have no idea whether Rondo could be productive or not, but it's an interesting proposition.
Chris Paul is 38 and everyone wanted to bring him back for the minimum.

He would not take any minutes away from DA.

He's a PF. We need a PF. But not someone who will bring such needless drama and distractions to the team.

Ah yes, the tortured Boston Celtics who've won the most NBA titles have to play by a different set of rules.
Maybe Brad Stevens is a bit out of his depth in the front office?
Yeah, boo hoo. The poor bastards.
