Russell Westbrook remains unsigned by any NBA team and is now reportedly considering signing with an Israeli league team. IMO that's a waste of his talents. I would actually welcome him here; he would be a decent PG option alongside Book and the others. I know he carries his downsides, but I think he's matured as a player and person from the guy I used to strongly dislike. And at a minimum/cheap contract I don't think the downside would be very significant. I know it'll never happen, but I wish we would reach out to him.

I've always been a Westbrook fan. I love how hard he plays, he's a hard worker, and he's a fantastic role model for young players. For the most part, his teammates seemed to have loved him. Sure, he's not a great shooter, but I want him passing it to Booker, Green, Brooks, etc.... anyways.

Aaaaaand he retired. Russ has taken a lot of shit in his career (including from me), but he's an unforgettable player who put up gaudy stats for almost two decades. Congrats to him on a great career. I think he had more to give, but if he thinks it's time, it's time.
