Cousins only makes sense in GS. If a team like the Suns were to sign him, they'd only have him for 1 year. Because we'd still need cap room next year to be able to retain him. Zach Lowe explains this on his podcast really well. He needed a team that had a open roster spot for a center that would be good and really only cared about next year. His other option would have been Houston, but he wasn't going to start over Capela. Boston maybe? But again not starting over Horford.
If the experiment worked out and we wanted to retain him, we would’ve had enough cap room (or could’ve easily created enough by waiving Knight or Warren) next summer to sign him to a max contract.

Yes, but we just drafted the center of our future in Ayton. That’s like signing IT the year after our PG was named to an all nba team.
So I imagine they aren't to close to an agreement.

Dreaming is free. To be fair, I dont think LA is giving up that much as far as players go, all replaceable. I know everyone loves Kuzma, but I don't get it, he's ok, but man you listen to people talk about him like he's a top 10 player.

I think he could’ve worked as a stretch 4 next to Ayton. “Twin Towers 2.0”
Since the Lakers have cap space, I feel like they’ll just wait until next summer to sign Leonard, and if he no longer wants to come to LA (like George), then they’ll just sign another max star instead. Plus they get to keep their young players.
That would make total sense if LeBron was a few years younger, but he is starting to get old so I don’t know about that strategy.

A Kawhi to Philly trade just makes to much sense for everyone for it not to happen.
Ring chasing is nothing new. It’s just that, in the past, a lot of the ring chasers fell on their faces, so it was a lot less annoying.
And they were at the downhill of their career.
What we see now is allstars in their prime taking huge paycut to form those monsters teams... We are in Space Jam !!!

I wouldn't be surprised to see LA make this deal or something similar to it. Their stated goal is to win now, and I can see them sacrificing players and draft picks who don't contribute to immediate results.
