I thought the Biden administration has done a good job overall. I know I am in the minority. Was it him or his people? I don’t know. I have no problem with what the administration has done as a whole. Was he in better shape not that long ago and now is going downhill fast? It appears so.

I think Biden has been a good man and deserves to be praised for his 40 years of service to the country. Unfortunately he is not the same man he once was. We need a President who is in command of his facilities.

Agreed that he has been a very good president but his decline from the time of his state of the union address to now has been staggering. He needs to do what's best for the country and bow out of the race.

Another Senator, Sherrod Brown, calls on Biden to drop out. This makes 4. A big deal.

Marty, I think you can relax. I'm pretty sure it is happening.

A lot of smoke, but I can't fully exhale until it is officially announced. Maybe this weekend.

Apparently Biden is now "seething" mad at Pelosi and to a lesser degree Obama. He is not going to go quietly into that good night. This is coming down to his pride now. I hope with a little time he calms down and looks outside of himself and at what's best for the country.

There are ways to still make it a democratic process. Why can’t they simply hold an online national primary for registered Democrat voters? Perhaps simply a nonbinding preference election which could show the delegates which candidate the voters want.

There are rules and laws about this stuff. Respectfully, nobody's going to hold an "online national primary," that's ridiculous. This is a party mostly run by older folks, they aren't going to do something "online."

Biden has to pull out on his own accord. That is the way it is. Kamala is next in line on the ticket. If they try to bypass her that will cause chaos.

Has she shown any interest at all in running?

Michelle Obama will not be running. It is kind of interesting that Biden doesn't mention or endorse Kamala Harris in his letter. But he says he'll have more to say about it later today, and he may speak to that at that time.

In2, it looks like you win our bet. :-) But at this point I am quite happy to accept that loss. A loss in November, I'll be less happy with that one.
