I'm wondering if Toronto is just doing our front office a favor and acting interested in KD in order to raise other teams' offers. That seems like a weird 4D chess thing to do, but that's my best guess. Otherwise KD to Toronto makes no sense for them.

The compromise is that we take Green and drop 2027 and they give us Smith.

It's not that crazy, id trade Eason before Smith, I think Smith is a breakout candidate, especially if he's next to a guy like KD. Id love to have him at the 4 with Ott coaching him.

I agree that it's crazy if a deal is hung-up on Reed Sheppard, especially considering how he looked on the court at times this year, but maybe the Rockets are seeing Sheppard how I wish our front office had seen Camara.
