I would take him in a heartbeat. I would trade anyone and anything short of Booker or the Miami picks for him

at least you unload one of the big contracts. since OKC knows it's a one year rental, the price wouldnt be that high.Cap wrote:If we trade for Westbrook, it's a one-year rental. It's not worth what it would cost us.
He'd be taking a big financial hit if he signs an extension before his contract expires so that's not very likely.specialsauce wrote:Cap wrote:If we trade for Westbrook, it's a one-year rental. It's not worth what it would cost us.
I didn't think it necessary to clarify that any deal Would hinge on the Suns and Westbrook coming to an agreement on an immediate contract extension
Awesome! That is great news. Smart of the Suns to do this for all of the passionate fans in Mexico.cardoso31 wrote:Looks like you guys are getting a couple less home games this season, the SUNS are coming to Mexico Fn' City in January! to "host" the Mavs and the Spurs, not one, but TWO Suns games here in my country, I've been to almost every NBA mexico game, I even traveled to Monterrey (like 11hr drive) to see the Suns in 2009, and now, out of 30 teams, the suns are playing two games. Im quite exited about this, wanted to share with you all. Any chance for a mexican fans get together Aztec??
Will be reporting for you guys in january, im not missing any of this.
As much as I hate Westbrook's game, he's far better than anybody we have on our current roster. I would trade anybody but Booker for him, as long as he gave us a commitment to sign beyond just the one year. Yes, I'd trade Bender/Chriss if it came to that. They're raw rooks who haven't played a single NBA minute and we have no idea how good they will be.bajanguy008 wrote:From Zach Lowe's latest article on ESPN regarding the fallout from KD to Warriors
"Presti doesn't want to trade Westbrook, but if he feels backed into a corner, he will chase young players and draft picks. The Phoenix Suns reportedly talked with the Atlanta Hawks about Paul Millsap, and they come armed with prospects galore, extra point guards and two future Miami picks."
I think Westbrook might be best in Boston, and they should have better assets to trade, especially those Nets picks. But Smart, Brown and some of their picks this year are nice too. Also, I think Stevens is the right type of coach for Westbrook. That guy is wicked smart.O_Gardino wrote:Getting Westbrook would be Marbury all over again. Yeah. I was just saying that conversation probably starts at Jaylen Brown and 3 firsts.In2ition wrote:I think Westbrook might be best in Boston, and they should have better assets to trade, especially those Nets picks. Maybe. Not sure how much leverage OKC has. Westbrook can probably sign anywhere he wants next summer. OKC could lose him for nothing - just like it did Durant.carey wrote:Yeah. Neither did the Knicks with Carmelo. I'm just saying that I think that's about the package. The bird rights are important for signing a 3rd star next Summer (whoever that may be.)OE32 wrote: I'd take Smart and the two Nets picks for Westbrook. If you think I'm selling low, I'd be willing to wager that OKC ends up with that package or worse (or nothing at all if it lets Russell walk). As I said, they don't have a lot of leverage here.
Maybe Bender took the 10K.EDC wrote:http://shop.suns.com/
Suns store now showing Bender wearing number 35. It shouldn't really bother me but it does. Dudley will be gone in a few years they shouldn't have let him just take the kids number.
Right. I doubt he just gave it to Dudley or the organization ripped it. Ivan might be driving a slightly used BMW or something right now.Cap wrote:Maybe Bender took the 10K.EDC wrote:http://shop.suns.com/

I think this would be true. But at least you know Westbrook is worthy of a max contract. The worst thing is to have to sign a marginal player to a max contract.O_Gardino wrote:Getting Westbrook would be Marbury all over again. We would be immediately better, then find it hard to build around him.
Looks bigger than I remembered from the highlight vids.carey wrote:https://twitter.com/Suns/status/750442345657618433 There's some footage of Bender's Suns workout in this video.
