I've been pretty negative about the idea of bringing in CP3. But I can live with it if the deal is a good one. In my mind, giving up all of Rubio, Oubre, AND (Cam or #10) is way too much to give up. That's three valuable assets for one bloated contract of an aging star. I really hope the Suns stay strong and don't include Cam in the deal.

The flex guy implied there is another guy signing a 2 year deal in the 15-18 million a year range if the CP3 deal goes through. Won’t say who.

Dreading what "draft compensation" means. We can't keep hemorrhaging picks with CP3 on the roster.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/303 ... ty-thunder
"The Phoenix Suns are finalizing a deal to acquire Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star guard Chris Paul, sources told ESPN.
The deal sends Paul and Abdel Nader to the Suns for Kelly Oubre Jr., Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and a 2022 first-round pick, sources told ESPN."
Woj and Gambo saying the 2022 pick is protected.
As for Nader, he's a 6'5" 225 lb 27 YO 3 and D wing. His RPM is better than Oubre's, and his defense is well above average for a back up. 37.5% from three point range last year. Solid, if unspectacular, back up.

Yes?

I think I would too. Tucker is expiring. He adds defense and can hit the corner 3. We’d still have the MLE and 16th pick.

I wouldn't even think twice. I'd love to have PJ back to push Cam for the starting forward spot. I prefer Cam start games with PJ and Saric crushing bench units, but I certainly won't complain about getting PJ.
Paul/Payne
Booker/Carter
Bridges/Tucker
Gallo/Cam
Ayton/Saric
The Suns getting to a legit 9 deep (sorry Javon) is probably delusional...
Edit: I forgot the draft pick. Desmond Bane takes Carter's spot by Valentine's Day.

9 guys that can’t dunk.

I know it's a joke (kind of), but you're right.
I'll give it 3.5 dunkers out of 9. Booker, Bridges, Cam and half a point to Ayton.

While I love PJ, we need length and athleticism on this team. We’re going against AD and Lebron probably in the playoffs, I just don’t think he’s our guy who can compete against the Lakers. There has to be a better defender to pair situationally alongside Ayton.

We need basketball players.
PJ Tucker isn't going to back down from anyone. I don't care if he's smaller than his peers.
Who would you trust more to guard LeBron in the clutch; PJ Tucker or Jemari Grant?

I am interested. Tucker is a perfect role player on basically any team that wants to compete, and he has a history here.
I wonder if there would be something to be worked out with BOS or ORL to end up getting their #14 or #15 instead of #16.
Although I don't know if I'd pick Desmond Bane. He could even be gone at #16, but I'd give him consideration if available.
