We all know he made Paxson and Kerr shoot gamr winning shots because they're white, right?
I thought it was because they were great shooters. Silly me.

It is possible that Pippen is crazy AND Phil is (at least somewhat) racist. I mean, it wouldn't be unusual for a 75 year old white guy that grew up in rural Montana, raised by Mennonite preachers to have a less than favorable education around race.

Sure, it's possible. But you really think that's the reason Kukoc got the final shot in this particular game?

Nope. That is why I said Pippen might be crazy. It just doesn't preclude what he said about Jackson being true, too.

I can't remember the name of the movie, but it was a Black comedy I seen a long time ago that made the joke that the 3 point line was made to keep white people in basketball...

Here's an interesting video with Ernie Johnson/TNT from the time of the incident (with a little Suns-Rockets thrown in there):

Iβm going with Pippen is nuts. Pippen held onto the ball and got a shot clock violation on his missed three pointer near the end hurting his team. Then decides he doesnβt like the play the coach draws up for someone else and calls it racist because heβs a white guy? Then he makes a scene causing him to be pulled from the game in the final seconds of the game? The play works and the Bulls win and Scotty forever holds onto his grudge against Jackson for not calling the play for him.

I had no idea Pippen was like that.
Sad, ain't it. The Jordan doc must have really torn him up.
Written in 1975. I'd like to believe he's grown up a lot since then and become more enlightened (being the Zen Master and all).
This tweet has quotes from 1999 and 2005:

I've always thought his LeBron "posse" comments were a bit overblown, but maybe the players reactions were based on this kind of stuff that they knew about but couldn't really speak on because of Jackson's status.

Sometimes, both sides can be in the wrong. Phil Jackson's comments about race are ignorant and offensive, but Scottie is a moron for sitting out of that play. Hopefully they have both grown up a bit since then.

Clearly Pippen hasnβt. And Iβd be shocked if Phil did.

Yeah, you don't typically "grow up" once you are in your 60s.
