I know I am in the minority, but if we already decided we had to trade Goran, and we knew we weren't bringing back Green, there is no reason to trade IT. He is a very good microwave off the bench, for a very good price.
I can say I prefer LAL pick + IT3 to Knight + Cle 2016 pick, but that's it.
And to be fair, it basically led to a $14M/year Knight...
It was a bad trade that made everyone barf. It's amazing to me how McD looked like a shining star his first off-season then proceeded to sh#t the bed after that. What changed?

And I'm okay with the 2 knuckleheads at that top of the list to be gone as well...Also wouldn't mind the bottom 2 either

Jesus. That's some heavy turnover.
It's not like McDonuagh was breaking up an all-star team. That 2012-13 Team was Horrific.

Man, what a sad list that list of longest-tenured Suns is. No wonder nobody cares about this team very much.

When he left, Frye was the longest tenured Suns and everybody was happy to see him gone at what Orlando paid. Sometimes we fans truly get what we deserve.

I'm fine with where we are. It is much better than grasping on to players just because they have been here for awhile. Frye was awful for us that last year. He couldn't hit a shot to save his life not to mention being a zero for us on the boards and on defense.
We had to rebuild. We have to find some players to build around and unfortunately we haven't yet. I'm fine with us moving around players that are talented but not good enough to build around.
It amuses me that I now see people out on other sites saying how Kieff is a pretty good defender and rebounder. Kieff is good offensive player who relies on the fade away jump shot. He could be a really good player if he put more effort into defense and rebounding but I'm pretty sure he never will.
Losing Kieff will most likely make us worse unless McD can pull off a miracle. On the upside there is quite a bit to be excited about. I want to see what Knight can really do now that he has had time to work with the team and is injury free. Maybe Bledsoe will make that next step and keep his dribble when entering traffic. Then we have TJ, Booker and Len. Who knows maybe even Goodwin will bust out.
I think Chandler will be good for this team. He is expensive but a vet who actually starts on the team will carry much more weight than some vet on the end of the bench.
I'm excited for the season to start.

I am more worried about him telegraphing every pass he throws, and him giving up on a play after he loses the ball.

Not I. His locker room presence and floor spacing (whether hitting or not) had to be respected. He brought a lot to the team, and played great with Dragic. We should have never gone away from the Dragic/Green combo in the backcourt and Frye spacing the floor. Even while rebuilding, its nice to have some cornerstones and a solid foundation for all the new players and rookies to learn their roles and how to fit in. Bledsoe / dual point guards, punks and criminals (Morrii, PJ) have ruined this team, and screwed up any attempt at a "rebuild."
Yes, I'm still pissed about how they handled Dragic, who was brought here and bred to run this team as the PG/engine/Nash 2.0. He was forged through the fires of the San Antonio series, became a leader in Houston, came back for a fantastic season, and was shown the door. I am going to be watching the Dragic/Green/Amare combo in Miami very carefully this season, for sure.

I agree. Is it me or does he also seem to walk the ball up the court more then he should.
On a side note its great to be back had no clue this was back I checked the old domain often. Finally checked on Facebook and found the link. Looking over the old threads I see a bunch of old faces I missed you guys.

Yes he does.
And welcome back!

Yeah, obviously Hornacek wants him to push the ball but he just doesn't for whatever reason.
Glad you found the site, shj. And it's nice seeing the ol' Mad House on McDowell.
Gambo saying it is going to get ugly. No actual quotes in this article though.
I'm actually kinda excited to see what we can get for him. I think the legal stuff just isn't that big of a deal for teams it isn't like he is going to do time. That and the fact that his contract is so low compared to what was given out this off season. I think there will be pretty decent demand for him.
I just hope there isn't a push to get a vet so we can have some pipe dream of making the playoffs. Better to get a young guy and picks.

Gambo sure is letting out his hostilities. I'm not saying he's wrong:
But how long can the Suns go with an unhappy player, one who plans to cause problems? Could the Suns end up suspending Markieff? Will they eventually trade him? Will Markieff finally learn to think for himself instead of having his brother do it for him?
How this will play out will be fascinating drama. A spoiled, troubled millionaire athlete, who is not even that good of a player, making demands and promising to wreck the Suns’ season before it even starts. A player who demands a phone call from management but couldn’t call the Suns himself after he was arrested for felony aggravated assault.

Great to see you, shj! Welcome back. I'm glad you found the site. I wish I could get sose to set phxsuns.net to forward/redirect to phx-suns.net, but I don't think he checks his old email any more. Not sure.

Its not professional, but lets be honest, Gambo is saying some stuff to marcus and now about Kieff that we all want to say. I'm glad.
That being said it's still just a terrible business decision to give this guy away. We hold all the cards....He has tremendous value. A good younger player and a pick would be the minimum I would take.

Why don't you leave him a private message on here? He might not check it any time soon, but he should get it eventually.

You know it's mid-August when you watch a 9 minute Cody Zeller mix tape in anticipation of a trade that probably won't happen.
