Time will tell. The early returns are not good but like "they" say, big men take longer to develop.

That's so weird. Did you guys see the play? He was just battling for rebound position and a guy pulled on his arm a little. It didn't appear to be anything out of the ordinary.
I saw the play. I was a little worried at the time, because when it happened I thought about the amount of torque on his shoulder with how weak he seems. I thought as soon as he went out that he dislocated his shoulder and will probably need surgery. It's too bad, the play about 10 seconds earlier he hit a 3. It was only one play, but he was starting to look a lot better after the first game he looked like a lost chucker.

That depth chart tells me that Ellis, Goodwin, Warren, Randolph, and Marcus Morris probably aren't getting very many minutes. I think Tolliver will be playing some minutes at the 5 for us, too, so I'd include him there.
I think it's hard to make predictions with some of these, especially Warren. He may turn out to be so good that Horny has to play him. Then again, he might not.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I have a sneaking suspicion that his play will force Hornacek to play him. Not so much with Ennis. ;)

There will be injuries throughout the season that give guys on the bench a chance to showcase their skills. I have a sneaking feeling that Warren is going to find regular minutes in Hornacek's amorphous lineups, especially when the offense starts to slip.

Exactly !! Which is why I don't care what anyone says, Suns should have made a bid for Boozer or went after Pau Gasol.

Boozer wouldn't have done much good.

Nor would have Gasol, lets not pretent he's a great rebounder, he's 7 foot and barely averages 9 a game, probably 5 of those fall in his hands because he's 7'.

Gasol is phenomenal at offensive rebounds and tip-ins. He just has a sense of where to be so that he'll get the ball as it bounces off the rim. And he's very tall and long despite not being very athletic or a great leaper.

Or, at least, he was. I assume he can still get the O-boards but I didn't watch him last year.

.......& Tolliver now ?

I don't think Boozer's offensive skill set ever fit in Chicago, even when Rose was healthy. He's good at the pick-n-roll game. He and Deron Williams ran that all the time in Utah. Dragic and Boozer couldn't have run that in Phoenix ? He's also a true back to the basket low post player and always has been a solid rebounder.

Unless Len breaks out better this year or similar to what Plumlee did last, Suns have a whole up front.

Still think we should pursue Monroe. Post play and rebounding are still really lacking. Our spacing would allow a lot of space for Monroe to operate down low.

I was open to pursuing Monroe, but now I'm becoming less of a fan of that move. Ultimately, his mid-range jumper isn't good enough, he has below-average athleticism, he doesn't offer any rim protection, he's a good not great rebounder, and too much of his play his below the rim. Bringing him in makes me feel like we're recreating the Jason Kidd-led teams. Just too mediocre.

Good luck to him. Hope he is picked up by another team and gets a chance to play.

Not implying the Suns should re-sign him, but WTH happened to Okafor? He's been under the radar for months. Not a peep.
