Plumlee averaged 5.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 14.3 minutes per game last season with the Bucks. Plumlee also had a PER of 17.4. per realgmn
10 Mil per for that?! Wowser.
4/52 = 10 per? Averages 13. Probably starts somewhere around 11.5.
Oh, man. I thought I had read 42. I guess my mind can't even fathom it and is giving me false readings.

One of the Summer League announcers said something that I think represents the attitudes of owners and GMs signing these deals.

"Cap space doesn't score points or get rebounds." I think that makes sense to these guys. If I have to spend the money, I might as well get a player. Look, this guy is a stable vet entering the prime of his career, he shoots over 60%, knows his role, and gets pretty good pro-rated numbers. blah blah blah Now they are talking themselves into why he's a good investment. Because they never really consider keeping their options open.

I agree it's a bad signing, but to play devil's advocate...

We gave Dudley 10 per for 8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. Dudley's pro-rated numbers are worse than Plumlee's, he is older, and we fully intend to reduce Jared's role in the next year or two. If all goes well, Jared will be 33 and riding the pine at the end of his contract. It is very likely that Plumlee will contribute more to the box score over the course of his contract than Dudley.

But we signed Dudley for much more than the box score and we only committed three years. He is a player that will be willing to recede as others progress. That is a rare commodity. Plus, Plumlees contract is $22 million more.

I think it's great. If these states want to pass backward discriminatory laws, let them lose some bucks over it. Let there be consequences for being hateful in 2016.

This may belong in the politics section, but I think both of you are right. I'll be glad to see the all-star game leave Charlotte, but the NBA doesn't really care about that stuff. They do care about the social pressure on tumblr, though.

The Olympic Team destroyed Argentina by over 30. Pretty boring game.

This is basically Adam Silver saying that the NBA won't stand for intolerance of any kind.

The one thing about the Plumlee signing is, last year I was thinking they would be playing Henson a fair bit coz they committed to him at 4/44. Can't say that anymore. What the hell are they doing? Can't give Monroe away, three centers totalling nearly 40 mil a year, none of whom can truly start. Why couldn't they have thrown that money at Biyombo at least. Or Ezeli.

Quit baiting people. Charlotte has removed protections against discrimination for LGBT people at private businesses. The bathroom law is something that grew out of it and is only a small part of what's going on there.

Pulling the All-Star game from Charlotte only feeds the southern conservatives' belief that their culture is under attack from the forces of political correctness.
