That's true. I wasnt using them to prove JJJ would be a great rebounder. Just to show it's possible.

I was curious, so I looked it up.

JJJ's college rebounding rate is very similar to the NBA rebounding rates of Porzingis, Durant, the Morris brothers, and Derrick Favors to name a few. Not spectacular, but not horrible for a big guy.

JJJ's rebounding rate is also significantly higher than Chriss' was in college. Almost double - 19.7% vs 11.4% IINM. Chris is now at 22ish% in the NBA. So, if JJJ can improve as a rebounder even as much as Chriss has, he will be a good NBA rebounder.

Fascinating. I leave him out of my rankings, simply because I don't know enough about high school ball to rank a guy I haven't seen in college. But I love the scouting reports on him.

I wonder who this guys thinks is the #1. I didn't think there was a consensus #1 this year. For me, it's Doncic no question. But a lot of draft boards have Ayton going first, and I think Trae could sneak up there with a couple more good games.

As of today the Basketball-Reference.com draft order projections has the Suns at #1, #15 (from Miami) and #16 (from Milwaukee).

I think if the Suns take Bagley, he may just help rehabilitate Chriss. His aggressiveness and offensive skill will bring out the competitiveness in Chriss. So in essence they could get 2 players with the pick.
Although, I think Ayton should be the pick if it's #1.

Chriss has more problems than just competitive spirit. He’s frankly just not very good at anything but blocks.

Probably an early 2nd rounder.

The importance of finishing with the worst record is that it would assure the Suns of one of the four best players (Ayton, Doncic, Bagley, Porter)

Ok, I'm going to try to not take your swipe personally.

I think part of Chriss's problem is that he was delusional to think he arrived. He showed that in his work ethic and commitment to getting better when he was upset to have to go to summer league last year, his bad attitude and being out of shape during, all the while pouting. Having someone next to him and competing with him for playing time that is even more athletically gifted and more skilled offensively may cause his pride to well up and rise to the challenge. You could be right and it could hasten his demise, but I think with how he came into his rookie year with Bender, he came in more aggressive and focused and took the job and playing time from Bender who was the higher pick. Maybe he takes the same approach and comes to compete.

I've just about given up on Chriss and wouldn't mind seeing him shipped of the off-season, but his value is super low right now, imo. He really needs to build it back up, and this off-season is ultra important to his long term sustainability in the league.

Suns have easily the best player of all the teams mentioned in the winnable games. If they don’t sit Booker and/or Warren they are going to win all of those games. I have no doubt

Yeah, even if most think the Suns are the worst team in the league. Recordwise, they are right, but I would expect them to win those games.

I think they'll go 6-14 the rest of the way. I don't think it'll be enough to end up with the worst record.

If they go 6-14 that won't be anything like the worst record. I don't think they can "afford" more than 2, maybe 3, wins to be guaranteed the worst record. Teams are getting pretty blatant about their tanking now, and there's seven teams within two wins of the Suns in the standings.

I agree.

But I don't have any faith in this front office to get anything right. It would just be so right for the Mavs to get the first overall pick.

"I don't mind if we get a couple more wins...." will turn into "Damn I would give up anybody on our roster to trade for Doncic/Ayton" 5 years from now. All because of 2-3 meaningless wins by a bunch of shit players who will not be on our team 5 years from now.
