Re: Russia/Ukraine
I heard an interesting explanation for why there are so many beautiful women from Russia and the former territories of the Soviet Union/Russian Empire. It’s because of the wars they’re always having. A lot of generations lose a lot of their men, leading to a gender imbalance, so only the most desirable women marry and reproduce.Nodack wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 8:20 pmThe war in Ukraine is killing off the males in Russia. Putin on a campaign to get women to have more babies. Wars take a lot of bodies.

I’m not sure about it, but it’s an interesting theory.

Re: Russia/Ukraine
My wife is half Italian and half Ukrainian, and I can tell you with certainty that Italy + Ukraine jointly produced the most beautiful woman in the world.

It’s their Viking blood from Norway they got when the Vikings invaded and rapes and pilliaged.

Her temper is the Italian half. Her skill with plow, Ukrainian.
Re: Russia/Ukraine
Congrats on getting plowed.
Love, Hurts.

Every night, brother.
Re: Russia/Ukraine
This is good news!
Re: Russia/Ukraine
LOL, the spin is already happening and it's exhausting. Something bad happens, Biden/Kamala's fault. Something good happens? Must be in anticipation of a glorious victory for leader Trump. (A more plausible theory I've heard for this prisoner release is that Russian oligarchs are becoming less confident of a Trump win and are therefore no longer holding on to the prisoners for him.)
Re: Russia/Ukraine
More like they were holding out until Trump won to give him a Reagan first day gift. Then Kamala became the Dem candidate and a Trump victory seems less likely and they decided to go ahead now.
Russia and the US play these games a lot. We snag a couple of spies. They nab two Americans and call them spies. We trade.

Re: Russia/Ukraine
Nodding. This is why you don't piss off all your allies and act like a jerk/bully to them. Alliances help you get things like this done.
Re: Russia/Ukraine
Nodding. This guy is completely selfish. He saw this and immediately thought about himself.
Re: Russia/Ukraine
LMAO. Cry more, sad dictator man. Or maybe call off your invasion of Ukraine?

Re: Russia/Ukraine
I was trying to decide which guy was more guilty than the other guy of the greatest hypocrisies this week, Trump or Putin and I have decided it was a tie. Trump for telling the press that it would be so un American for them to share the leaked documents from him being hacked after he he couldn’t possibly praise the Hillary hacks in 2016 any more than he did. Even asking Russia out loud to find and publish her emails.
Or, Putin. He launched a war against Ukraine destroying whole cities and killing thousands of civilians. Now Ukraine has been able to strike into Russia, bringing the war to their side and Putin doesn’t like it at all. His comment?
“But what kind of negotiations can we even talk about with people who indiscriminately strike at civilians, at civilian infrastructure, or try to create threats to nuclear power facilities. What can we even talk about with them?” Putin said.
Putin did all this on a much grander scale than Ukraine and Putin says this? Talk about hypocrisy.
How dumb do they think we are?

Dumb enough to elect Trump President.

Re: Russia/Ukraine
By the way, Ukraine launched an attack into Russia and has taken about 400 square miles of basically unguarded Russian territory. Russia has been scrambling to respond and has been pulling troops away from the front. A major blow to Putin.

Re: Russia/Ukraine
I'm not sure I really understand the endgame here. I understand if Ukraine wants to, say, go into Russian border territory to take out a missile launcher that has been launching missiles at them. But why are they explicitly taking prisoners and claiming territory? I don't want Ukraine to, like, take over Russia or parts of it. I want them to protect their own territory and stop Russia from attacking them and killing their people.
