All the mocks have him in the 50's. I hope Gambo just misunderstood when his name was floated out there. Semi is mocked around 30 so that's ok. Bell and Swanigan could be there though Bell has risen to late 1st in most mocks. There's a tropical storm hitting New Orleans over the next couple days. I may not be around much. If our slack channel is still operative I would request that we all use that on draft night like we did last year.

Is it still up Mori?
Nobody has any clue about how the 2nd round is actually gonna go. Reed is 6'5 with a 7'0 wingspan who was a very good defender and shot 40% from 3 on 6 attempts a game. He's also capable of putting the ball on the floor and finding the open man. He had 2.5 assists a game. Now I'd love to grab him at 54, but I'm not going to be upset if he's the guy at 32. I'd be a bit disappointed if someone like Bolden or Bell were on the board, but if we think he's a 3-D rotation player, by all means, draft him at 32.

Yeah, at first I really liked Ntilikina, but the more I watched him the more it didn't seem that he had the speed and quickness to outplay the top guards. His profile is very intriguing though and could possibly be a Gary Payton type player in a few years. I think he has a chance to be a bigger and better than Dennis Schroder.

I know a bunch of guys love what Smith brings to the table(not so much on this forum though) and think he would be fantastic and a better distributor and shooter than any of the guards, just didn't have the players to throw to at NC State. I'm skeptical of him, as he really just reminds me of another score first score second freeze your teammates out feeling that any shot from them was a better shot than a teammate could produce type of pg.

There is something to like and dislike about both.

Tatum is a shot-maker, but I worry about what else he can bring to the table at the pro level. I question his toughness.

Issac looks more like a novelty than a legit prospect. He has above average handle, seems to have good awareness on the offensive end, but I have doubts that it will ever add up to anything substantial at the pro level.

I wouldn't be upset with either, but I can't say either one moves the needle for me.
Thanks. And where would Jackson fit in there?

I'm a newbie from a posting standpoint but I've reading the board for years. Carey just lost me with this one though  , I'm not familiar with it so waiting on the question to be answered 8-)

Semi scares me as the wrong kind of tweener. Seems like an undersized college 4 without the real perimeter skills to play both positions. Undersized for the NBA 4, not skilled enough for the NBA 3. Teams looking for the next Draymond will make a mistake with players like this.

If you can trade down and get him, sure. But I want to be able to get my guy. I think Sacramento, NY, Minnesota, or Dallas could surprise and take him. So I wouldn't want to chance it trying to get cute.
You think that would be a surprise? The Knicks and Mavs have been the two teams most closely linked in Ntikilina.

Thanks for the link. I still like his fit next to Booker a lot. Of course, everyone sounds good at draft time, but this is a big defender who can play at his spot now and grow into a bigger role as he matures. Obvs, I wouldn't take him with the 4, but I would be happy to get him + something.
I'd have no problem taking Ntilikina at #4.
What if we have no intention of trading Bledsoe?

It would surprise me. I haven't heard those rumors, and Ntilikina has fallen in the mock drafts recently.

Valid. He may not have the footspeed to defend NBA point guards.

I'm right there with you. The last 2 drafts, I knew exactly who I wanted weeks in advance. This year, I'm interested in 6 guys and I don't know which will be best.

Stay safe in the storm. It shouldn't be too bad, but if you need to get out of town, you can always crash with me in Shreveport.

The Knicks are supposedly in love with him, same with the Mavs but they're stuck behind the Knicks. Cuban went over there to scout and meet with him, they hired his coach to be a coach on their SL team this summer. Could be smokescreening to keep the Knicks from taking the guy they really want, who knows. His overall footspeed is the biggest, most consistent concern I've seen and read from everyone. But they love his size/length and feel for the game.

Idk, but he still seems young and growing. Could it be that with a great training staff and maturity that his foot speed and quickness greatly improve in a short time? I mean, in some ways he seems like a pure pg version of the Greek Freak and I thought that he got quicker and more athletic over the years.

Phil Jackson and the Knicks targeted either Devin Booker or Marquese Chriss from the Suns in a potential deal for Kristaps Porzingis, according to a new report Wednesday morning.

According to the report from Yahoo! Sports, Jackson also wanted Phoenix's pick (No. 4 overall) in Thursday night's NBA draft as the Knicks boss continues to see what he could possibly get for the frustrated Porzingis.
I would've tried to throw in Bender but would've given up Chriss and the 4th pick in a heartbeat. I'm actually mad we didn't pull the trigger.

Booker stays, but I would trade Chriss + 4. No questions asked.

Yeah, I don't get this when you would still have Bender and reports are that they are going to go after Paul Millsap. I could see that you would want to pair Porzingis and Chriss together, but Bender and Porzingis would be a great pairing if Bender can get stronger and improve his shooting from the floor and the line.
