I found it fun in the moment…but it was meaningless after the fact…I do agree they should look at making it mean more.

We're still doing this?

These games were in the basement on the meaningful scale two seasons ago and now you want them to be even more significant because...why?

Reminds me of people complaining about interleague baseball 25 years ago.

I'm saying I don't care about group play or if they win it. Take that for what you want. Relax

Too cool for wins yet quick to jump on the Suns for not winning enough.

If the Suns win the tournament but finish 11th, hang the banner, I don't even care.

I want the regular season wins for playoff seeding. I couldn't care less what "group" we drew or if we actually win the IST. Losing 2 games in the IST to me doesn't impact me any more than losing 2 games outside of it, because the IST has no meaning.

Alright, sorry if I missed this in prior discussion, but I want to know what y'all are thinking.

With the roster locked in for now, the consensus seems to be that we need to make a trade mid-season. I'm curious how you folks think Bud will handle the roster until then.

I think SplitT broke down the minutes distribution pretty well a while back, but essentially the 1-3 is locked up by our glut of SGs and we have 15-20 minutes at 4-5 for Bol / Ighodaro / Dunn or for the team to go small.

1. How much will KD play center this year? (IMO, Bud will be more willing to go small, and we will see KD regularly get 5-8 minutes as the biggest Sun.)
2. Will Bud go ultrasmall with one of our SGs at the 4? (IMO, not at first. The forwards will get the chance to keep or lose those minutes.)
3. Are any of Bol / Ighodaro / Dunn likely to develop into reliable players? I know we've talked about our hopes for those guys, but will they be able to beat out Allen, O'Neale, etc for minutes early on in the season? (IMO, only if we are winning. The team will be significantly better going small, and the bigger guys will only get minutes if we can win without much contribution from them.)

Is that the consensus? A trade for what? Beal for a great PG or forward would be nice, but I don't think that is likely. Nurk for some defensive center?

I think we just need to adjust our lineups. We have too many guys in the starting lineup who are too small and not good enough on defense; one of Beal or Allen should come off the bench. Dunno if those players or Coach Bud will decide to do that, but that's what I wish would happen. IMO we need to have lineups with a better balance of offense/defense.

If Dunn turns out to be Shawn Marion lite then that may be a option with the current personnel, otherwise they just don't have the personnel to match up with the bigger teams. Of course come December when Okogie and O'Neale's contracts become tradeable they'll have a lot more options.

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. ;) And isn't one apron enough? Why would you even need a second apron?

IMO the second apron is too punitive. I don't think fans or teams want such harsh punishment for teams just because they sign or retain players.
